Through all the Pats success over the years, have the Pats ever mouthed of like the Giants have done over the past couple of days? Hey, they won, they were underdogs and they are now the champs. They deserve to speak as loud as they want, they earned it. But listen to just a couple of quotes from Giants players:
"This was the death of a dynasty!" the veteran linebacker yelled over the roaring Giants fans who would not, could not leave. "We wore all black, and we killed it." Antonio Pierce
"Most definitely, other teams gave the Patriots too much respect. Our attitude was, '(Expletive) them (expletives). We're gonna beat these (expletives).'" Brandon Jacobs
Jacobs shared his unflattering opinion of Seymour, the seventh-year veteran whose streak of five consecutive Pro Bowls ended this season. "Richard Seymour's soft," Jacobs said. "He's talking the whole game; he's dirty. But hey, if that's how he wants to play …" Brandon Jacobs
And lets not forget all of the crying and complaing the Pat got after the San Diego game. I never heard of any real dust up from the media on that one.
You can say its all sour grapes on my part, and maybe so. But I find it unfair that all year long the Pats are always respectful to teams before and after a game, in victory, and now in defeat. And now we see other teams who clearly are not graceful and/or respectful after defeat and victory, and yet the PAts are always the bad guys.
