Belichick enthusiastically greets fans on return to Gillette

It's out of form for him to do this....why?

You'd think the Pats would probably acknowledge the fans there, but not like this. Surprising after such a tough, demoralizing loss.

I think this season he's been touched about the fans support for him. I avoided all coverage yesterday and then they showed this in the sidebar while watching How I Met Your Mother. It was very nice to see fans there, it made me feel like a bad fan because I just spent the day feeling so crappy.

I doubt he was expecting anyone to be waiting to give him a hero's welcome.

BB doesn't hate the fans particularly those so dedicated to stand outside in the cold to wait to greet them returning from a loss. Nobody there ever called him a cheater.

So BB pushing a camera man out of the way so he could high-five his supporters seems to be perfectly in form for him.

Yeah, I'm sure it touched the Patriots players. I'm sure they feel like they're the biggest chokers in the history of the world right now, and the fact that fans still came out to say thanks for a great season was I'm sure very touching, to BB as well.

They'll bounce back, and we'll be there when they do.

I'm sure he figures he'll take plenty of crap about booking the field with a second left, so maybe he's in damage-control mode.

Thanks for posting the pics and links.

I love this team and wish I could have been there to welcome them back and to show support.

I think after dealing with so much crap, it was a chance to express solidarity with, in a sense, family. Great coach, and if you actually pay attention to what the man does, a hell of a guy.

And the legend of evil Bill continues.

We should show our appreciation. It sucks that we've lost the Super Bowl. But you know what, we have a great football team in this town. We had better enjoy it while it lasts. We are spoiled.

Maybe he'll learn something from this debacle. Maybe he should figure out a way to engage with the media so that they don't hate him, buit do it in a way that still reveals zero info about the team.

Nope. I don't want him too. Screw them all. They should get nothing from him.

Reagan was really good at going over the media's heads and speaking directly to the people sitting in the living room. He gave them little.

That might be something Belichick can do in his own way. Nothing would drive the media and the haters in it crazier than that.

Off topic, but, did anybody see Marshall Faulk the other night? The punk looked like he had just won the lottery.

The thought of watching the NFL Network makes my stomach turn right now. I'm avoiding it until draft time, by then I'm sure I'll be feeling a little better :D

Boston news media=some of the worst in the world.

Boston sports fans=some of the best in the world

Thanks for posting those pictures. That makes me feel so much better.

I can see the appreciation in BBs face.

I hope the team is not reading the papers. All the comparasons to Bill Buckner etc. They are probably wondering how some of the fans they thought cared can make them out to be that bad. Big EFF you too the media.

Nice to see real fans there. I bet it was nice for them to get that welcoming. Much appreciation for everyone that went.

Nice comment there about Regan speaking to the people and ignoring the media.

Yeah...all 200 of them. How did they ever control such a mob? Don't you think it's a little lame that only 200 fans greeted a team that, despite the loss, had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history?

PTR

I wish I could have been there to greet them home too.
