Here are some things I would not trade for going back in time to get a win last night:
-My beautiful and understanding wife.
-A great dog (some kind of lab mutt)
-A job I am lucky to have
-A forgiving and understanding family
-A good head on my shoulders
-Friends
-I am relatively healthy physically.
In the big picture, would winning that game have made my life that much better? It certainly would have made it better. I am a lifelong Patriots fan, since birth in 1970. But ultimately the game is about entertainment, like chess or tiddly winks. Would I get this upset about my favorite tiddly winks player losing the world championship? I got way too involved this season. Usually I can keep myself under control, get sad for that night and the next day, but then dust myself off and move on. This loss feels different, and it is to some degree, but come on neuronet, it's just a game of tiddly winks!
