Just wondering. That's all. Personally, I hope we lose a game and get it out of the way early on to get the monkey off the back. Being realistic, with this stacked a team we can rationally assume to win around 12-13 games.

What if we're 13-0 and have no reason to go full speed? Do we chase this record again or say it's not worth it and let's not relive last year and all of those expectations and if we lose so be it let's just avoid the playoffs letdown?

I say hell yeah. Go big or go home. This time we went home. Next time...

Yes. You can't take your foot off the gas. See 2005 Colts. See 2007 Colts. See 2007 Giants.

I say no,but if it happens great...I think in blow out games we should put younger players to play...Just is case there number is called...

Yes, because you saw how teams did when they rested guys after clinching. Every team that rested players this year lost in the first round. When the Colts were 13-0 and decided to rest players, how did that work out?

If we are 13-0 next season, I would look to use the next 3 games to try to improve and get ready for the playoffs.

Why not take another shot at 19-0. Again, you play to win the game.

That would almost be a bigger story in a way. Could you imagine getting to the cusp of 19-0 and failing then coming back and pulling it off next year? That would be unreal. I'll be happy with 12-4 and another SB though.

You go for 19-0 again. We lost because our O-Line got just destroyed and we couldn't make a few plays when needed, not because of what our record was prior to the game.

Yes.

It’s the only way to make up for this season. Another Super Bowl would be absolutely amazing of course and is always the main goal, but the only way to truly heal the wounds of this season would be perfection.

I think that our only real flaw on offense was exposed. If we are 18-0 again next season, I really believe only the Giants has the front 4 capable of bringing the type of pressure necessary to kill our offense. But now that BB realizes this, I think making the O-line stronger and better coached will be one of his priories.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of this game. I think a lot of Giants will be seriously wishing they hadn't been talking the trash they talked after this game a year from now.

You know what SUCKS.

Realizing that if the goddamn Packers had beaten the Giants, there's NO WAY they outright destroy our offensive line. Most of us believed we were safer playing the Giants again and with the time to prepare would take care of business.

I also feel so raw still, yes another SB is the ultimate goal, but DAMN. I almost feel like something even better was ripped away from us, perfection..... Now it's like, even if we do go 12-4 and win the Super Bowl, part of me will still be so hurt and want that perfection. Damn that's going to always hurt. This is like having your heart broken.

Yep, thats why I want another shot at 19-0. I know it will likely never happen again with the Patriots, but who knows. They got to 18-0 this season, who's to say that can't get to it again next season. I can hope and dream.

I wouldn't try to win because we're going for the record. I would try to win because teams that try to rest their players have a high risk of facing a team that has fought for their lives for the last month and haven't shown rust while we shake the rust off. Belichick has also never rested players when there is nothing to play for largely because of the fear of rust.

I think the people condemning our O-line are overreacting. The only thing that could be done to improve our line is get a RT. They had one bad game, and it was more because of play calling than anything. Remember the steelers game? They were the #1 defense, and we rattled them with our playcalling. They didn't know what to zone in on. The giants were basically told that they had 4 seconds to get to Brady every play and most of the time they sent more people than we had blockers for.

As Herm Edwards says, "You play to win the game".

Not a great coach, but a great philosophy. Teams that play the best going into the playoffs usually win in the playoffs. Eventhough the Giants lost to the Pats, they played tough and got confidence and then beat two teams back to back who played like crap at the end of the season.

You try to win individual games. 19 one-game winning streaks.

BB is devastated I'm sure. He will re-examine his methods, what he did this year, and improve. We will be a better team next year, and that's scary.

because 12-4 and another sb win isnt immortality
if we had gone 19-0 it would have been etched in stone, to last for eternity
