Wes played his ass off last night and I looked for a thread giving him props to no avail. If any Patriot earned his pay last night, it was him.

Wes always plays his ass off. He was one of the guys I was most disappointed for that he didn't a ring. And based on his performance last night, if we had won, I think he had a very good shot at being MVP.

Tied Deion Branch's Super Bowl record for receptions.

Welker had an outstanding year. I'd like to recognize Faulk as well. I can't remember him doing much of anything wrong all year long. No fumbles, huge 3rd down catches out of the backfield, great blitz pickup. Those two guys deserve much of the credit for an 18 win season.

He did indeed. That may have been the only good thing to come out of last night since he's twice the player Branch ever thought about being.

He's been great all year. More balls could have went to him during season if not for the Brady to Moss record chase. Perfect fit for this offense, when the offense is run correctly.

And you know that they're not going to bother with records next year.

FWIW, one other player who has nothing to be ashamed of is Ventrone. Bubba made an absolutely perfect tackle to pin the Giants inside their own 20. When you're only asked to play on ST, you can't really be faulted for what the rest of the team does.

Wes, it's been a pleasure. Thanks.

Agree. He was one of the few that brought it....along with Faulk who, except for the occasional bad fumble always brings it. Thanks, Wes.

Wes had an amazing season!

Only player on the Pats offense to step up and do there job. Thank You Wes!!!!

Agreed, great post. Faulk doesn't get enough credit. Maroney gets the credit but it was Faulk that broke the Chargers back with an incredible catch for a first down on 3rd and 11 during the final drive. That was just one of many big plays by Faulk that game. He made some big ones in the SB too. I tip my cap to both of them, Faulk AND Welker (and I STILL am pissed at Marty Schottenhiemer for releasing Welker way back when).

His hand is glue or something, because whenever he catch the ball it just stick to him. It was a third down or something with a tight coverage on him and Brady gun it, he leaped up and catch it, as he come down...he got hammered hard, but still got the frigging ball!...freaking amazing hands.
