The youth movement will be the trend of this offseason. The Pats will clean house and rebuild. You also forgot Samuel and the option on Stallworth.

Donte Stallworth - gone, unfortunately
Asante Samuel - gone
Chad Scott - gone
Eugene Wilson - gone
Jabar Gaffney - stays unless some other team wants to overpay
Junior Seau - If he wants to return I think the Pats will have a spot for him
Larry Izzo - stays
Lonnie Paxon - stays
Mel Mitchel - stays but always seems to get injured, played well on special teams
Randall Gay - I see him coming back but will be demoted to 4th option at best
Randy Moss - stays, he has unfinished business
Tedy Bruschi - See Seau
Troy Brown - I see him hanging it up

Who I think the Pats will bring in?

I think they will make a serious run at Terrell Suggs if the Ravens are dumb enough to not slap the franchise tag on him. I aslo think the will sign some veteran inside LB's who are around 25-27 in age.

Who I think they will draft?

I think the Pats will take DE/ LB Vernon Gholston or the best DB.

i have a good feeling either Wilson or Samuel will be a Jet because Mangini connection

Would love to have seen more of a workload to Stallworth. I don't think we saw enough of him this year. I don't know how options work. Can anything be done with it?

Was thinking about this...We need another electric receiver on the other side of Moss. We have Welker in the slot, but Stallworth was a bit of a letdown. Chad Jackson maybe hitting his potential.

That was a big problem in the playoffs. If we have another above average receiver, Moss maybe doesn't get doubled and tripled. I also think Watson disappeared...

I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but I honestly think that Chad Johnsons posturing this week is a play for the Patriots to pick up a phone and call Marvin Lewis to ask about his availability. I would not be shocked to see this at all.

Asante Samuel - gone
Chad Scott - gone
Eugene Wilson - gone
Jabar Gaffney - signs on for another 2 years
Junior Seau - retires
Larry Izzo - gone
Lonie Paxton - re-signs
Mel Mitchell - re-signs
Randall Gay - re-signs

Randy Moss - gone
Tedy Bruschi - retires
Troy Brown - retires
Donte Stallworth - cut
Kelley Washington - contract restructured
Rosevelt Colvin - contract restructured

Mike Wright - gone (Jets)

Asante Samuel - gone Pay the man; we need him more than he needs us.
Chad Scott - gone Good riddance
Eugene Wilson - gone I would re-sign him for good backup $$.
Jabar Gaffney - signs on for another 2 years I hope so, too.
Junior Seau - retires I'd try to convince him to return, as a backup.
Larry Izzo - gone I hope so.
Lonie Paxton - re-signs I think so, too.
Mel Mitchell - re-signs Only for the vet minimum. He's too injury-prone.
Randall Gay - re-signs See Eugene Wilson.
Randy Moss - gone Just like he was during the POs. Only for the vet minimum + incentives.
Tedy Bruschi - retires Maybe not yet. See Junior Seau.
Troy Brown - retires Afraid so. It was disgraceful that he wasn't active for the SB.
Donte Stallworth - cut I hope not; perhaps his contract can be restructed.
Kelley Washington - contract restructured Only for vet minimum + incentives.
Rosevelt Colvin - contract restructured I hope it can be, too.
Mike Wright - gone (Jets) No biggie, esp. if we can get a comp. pick. We need a young pass-rushing DE, anyway.

Someone else in serious need of restructuring is Richard $eemour. He is taking much more than he is giving.

Why all the love for Izzo? Personally, I think he is done. Time for a young player to step up.

Do not exercise the option.

Just how in the world are the Pats gonna be able to afford Suggs? They spent the bank last year on FAs, so how can they afford to do it again? Plus your gonna have to shell out some money for Moss to keep him around. I see you guys taking the best DB available since Gholsten probably wont be around.

If Gholston is not around at pick #7, the Patriots will most likely trade down.
