=================================

I see your point, and I should probaly not of even commented.

However, I stand by my statements.

You had to be in the stadium to understand what was going on. Although I haven't seen the broadcast, I doubt they did it justice. The Giants player were all over the field, with their helmets off. The yellow-rope security people were roping off the lane to the Patriots' locker room. They had their handshake, and both coaches thought it was over. Belichick was long gone -- Seau had to grab someone else's helmet to take the last play. Manning had to be retreived from celebtrating near the stands.

The way people and the media jump all over Belichick for any little thing with little to no regard for context is absolutely absurd. Absurd ... but hardly surprising anymore.

Amazing how so many people are calling him classless for this but have nothing to say about how the Giants handled themselves after the game.

I am just sick to death of the BB hate. I support him more than ever. Why? Because I see parts of my personality in BB. I don't handle losing with grace. I'm fine if we win, but lose? Get the F out of my face, I don't care who you are.

He did nothing to warrant this vitriol last night. But it doesn't matter WHAT he does or doesn't do, he gets **** on anyway. Just F off, you idiot media hacks.

Hehehe... same reason as I support him.

Same exact reason.

COOL...

i like him for the same reasons. reminds of a de niro movie line (forgot which) in which he is asked why does such things ? he replies "i like to piss people off".

Whoever was running the game clock seemed to be having issues for the last three minutes. When Belichick went out on the field it read appeared to read 0:01. After watching seconds get added and subtracted during that three minute period, I have no doubt the game clock may have read 0:00.

The fact is the media pounces on Belichick and anything he does. I was reading this morning about not handshaking after an obvious hug (I was surprised he was not accused of mocking the handshake custom with an embrace). If he wins, he cheats. If he loses, he was honest but outcoached.

I too would love to see the media get a grip and leave the guy alone. I'd hate to see him leave the game despite his obvious love of coaching because of constant criticism of virtually everything he does in a game or after a game.

Don't understand the outrage over this. Although not all media hacks think the same... Mike Greenberg from ESPN, also huge Jets fan, gave Belichick a pass this morning.

What was Bill supposed to do? Run back to the sideline, watch the kneel down and run back and congratulate Coughlin again? Understandably he just wanted to get off the field and let the Giants celebrate. These haters just love piling it on.

bad situation for BB. From my perspective it looked like BB wanted out of there. His team had lost, the game clock was all over the place from 2 secs to 0. the ref looked like he told him we need to run another play and get back to the sideline and to me it looked like BB politely shoved him out of the way to give TC a little hug. He couldve went back to his sideline and waited with respect for the final kneeldown and maybe congratulate some giant players but you cant kill him for the awkward situation and just leaving. That being said, BB brings this on himself, from LT calling him classless to his weak handshake and distaste for mangini, to his shoving a camera guy out of the way to hug mangini in last years playoffs to his montone interviews looking like a grump, win or lose. He brings this on himself and the media loves to harp on a lot of non issues.

Keep in mind, you cant kill the media for this. this is what they do. they love this soap opera stuff and you cant say you didnt love it when LT was accused of sulking on the sideline when he was doing nothing of the sort. TV and media portrays something they want you to see. Keeps the NFL churning. Keeps the distaste going for great coaches and great players. Think about the best players in football and almost all are hated. Peyton, Brady, LT, BB, TO. They are all unliked by most except for fans of those teams. It what keeps people interested, and that is just sad.

when I first heard this cr@p today my first thought was "wow, will they not stop at anything to make BB/Pats look bad!!!
BB saw the clock go to zero, was escorted to shake hands(and did so in a warm/huggy manner) and all of a sudden there was time back on the clock!!Even shots of Coughlin show his confusion when the refs were trying to get him to get his players back to finish the game! BB did not "run off the field", just the opposite, he was seen talking to a few of the Giants, probably wanting to praise what was an outstanding effort on their part.
