It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I hate to have to think this...but that drive by eli could have been the best ever. it will be talked about on sports show for the next 30 years. 83 yards late in the game, that crazy 3rd down play, getting a touchdown in the super bowl against an unbeaten team.
I would not classify it as great...it was a game winning drive in the Super Bowl. Not great because it should have never happened...especially the prayer that Eli threw up...the almost INTs by Harrison and Samuel...
good comparison, and montana also threw an almost int on that drive as well, a ball that a bengal dropped, it was right in his hands tooI think it's the best super bowl drive ever, yes. It replaces the Montana 49ers drive to beat Cincinatti. Both were great drives. Both took a team from losing the super bowl to winning it with less than one minute remaining.
I think that the Giants' drive is better for two reasons. First, they had less time to do it -- about a minute less. Second, they were down by 4 not 3. So, they needed a TD. Once the 49ers got in field goal range, the only real question was whether they would win or tie. The Giants needed the TD or they would lose.
