Okay everybody.

People have compared this SB to the one in 2001. An upstart team nobody gave a shot beat a heavy favorite.

Well, lets vow to do one thing different. Lets vow not to be a Rams fan.

*** No calling the Giants season a fluke.

*** No weather forecasts claiming there is a blizzard in heck.

*** No whining about refs.

*** No making LT style claims that if we played them 9 times we would win 10.

*** No claiming they must have cheated.

Suffer defeat in class. With dignity and knowing that the reason the Giants won, is because they played better.

The Giants won because they played better. Period. End of story.

Don't be a Rams fan. (Or Eagles, or Steelers, or Colts for that matter.)

Who is with me?

They beat the snot out of the Pats and kicked the Pats ass from one end of the
field to the other and back again. I haven't seen one Pats fan say anything
other than this tidbit of reality. I don't think you need to worry.

I've been really proud and impressed by how great people around here have been. I haven't seen a single person blaming the refs or pointing the finger anywhere but at our own guys. Considering how confident (even arrogant) most were before the game, I'm glad we're handling it like this.

It's the perfect opportunity to show that the "Pats fans are classless" B.S. is just that.

A Giants fan I work with had to pick his jaw up off the floor when I told him the best team won. Another co-worker (Ravens fan) interjected with something like "just because the Giants beat NE..." and I cut him off. "They play the games to decide the best team. NY won the last game of the season. That mkes them the best team."

I still believe NE wins at least 7 out of 10 against NY, but that doesn't matter. NY beat them in the superbowl. For 2007, NY was the best team in football.

I couldn't agree more. They went out there and grabbed that game. They did it (not "we beat ourselves" or any other bullstuff.)

The Giants are Super Bowl champions... not an "oh yeah the guys that stopped the perfect season" anomaly.

They're the best team in the NFL.

Congrats, Giants.

This seems like the right sentiment.

But I have to admit, after reading the article on the front page of Yahoo with all the quotes from Giants players, I'm not so inclined to offer them congratulations.

They beat us.

I agree, nothing more can be said. We came out flat as hell and now the 2007New York Giants have more to show for their season then we do. Incredible.

100% Agree.

And my first step is going to eat helping after helping of crow regarding the pass rush. Before the game, I argued that the two teams pass rushes were not as far apart as people thought.

I was wrong. That Giants front seven played one of the best pressure games I've seen against a line that was dominant all year.

My hat is off, we got outplayed.

When's the draft?

Yup, but lets face it. We did the same sh!t back in 2001. The number one reason I will be determined not to be a Rams fan. Because, I've now experienced what it must have felt like to have been them back them. Devastated........ But with the perspective of having done it to them (which they didn't have), I'll have a much better understanding and tolerance (for lack of a better word) watching the Giants gloat. Because that exactly what we did when it was is.

There were some bad calls, from the officials (this is something I only say after asking a few others today. And we're not officials, so I freely admit we could be wrong) and the coaching staff. There was some odd play from some normally dependable people.

But when it comes to it, the Giants brought it, the Pats didn't, and the Giants deserved to win.

I'd love to complain about the refs if they were bad, but they did a solid job. I have no complaints about the refs.

I have no complaints about the Giants players, the way they played, etc.

This is all on us. 100%. Pats were outplayed and outcoached. End of story, end of season. No sugar coating it, we lost, they won, it sucks and it is what it is.

Really? Then I stand corrected. I just don't remember the personal insults. I don't remember anyone saying Kurt Warner quit on his team (the way they said Brady quit), or that London Fletcher was soft (the way they said Seymour was soft), etc. I don't remember Patriots making any comments like those. If they did, then bad on them.
