Hometown isn't New York. He's a transplant there from working at the NFL offices.

His family is from Western New York, they are Bills fans.

Father was a US Senator, things all over Buffalo are named after him. Father was a Republican who nonetheless helped take Nixon down during Watergate.

Father was a stickler during Watergate, and now we have Goodell trying to fill his father's shoes and make the old man proud.

FYI- i was at the SB and a few feet from Roger as he entered the red carpet for the NFL sponsered Tailgate party. As he passed the crowd he looked at a fan and as the fan said "Go Giants", Roger said "Go Giants". Someone quickly made a comment and Roger quickly said he was only repeating what the fan said.

I heard this with my own ears and I get them cleaned every year. I would assume he was def rooting for the Gmen.

i don't give a flying f-word what Goodell's "entourage" wears. i don't care if Goodell spent last night effing the Giant's Cheerleaders, one by one. right now, he's the only thing standing between the patriots and the hordes of fans and media who want to bring them down. he's insisted on fairness in this process. he destroyed the tapes to save the league (and patriots) further embarassment. he didn't believe the idiot Walsh the first time he came forward. he stood up to Arlen Specter to the extent that Specter backed off his plans to ask for hearing. let his bagmen/women wear whatever the heck they want.
