Why is this junk on superbowl sunday?

do we really need to hear 6 hrs of non-football game stuff?

everybody video tapes... if you don't change your signals then you're an idiot.

I wish they would focus on the game. Maybe they would if it didn't look so one-sided.

Exactly. It's all just jealousy. These other teams don't care enough about winning games. The Pats do everything they can to win games. That's what winning organizations do. You leave no opportunity to win games untouched. You seize that opportunity.

we haven't seen any in depth player profiles.

all i remember last year is the gary brackett story which was good though i don't like the colts.

how about some stories on adversity(we know brushi and seau)

how about a story on seymour.... or ty warren(never gets the press)

how about something on jarvis green and his relationship with marquise hill?

That sounds like TV programming on Lifetime.

First time I am agreeing with Emmitt!

Yeah, Why dosen't ESPN ask Spector about the Eagles coach running a drug den for his crack whore felonious sons?

I think it is more than a coincidence that the story came from the NEW YORK Times. I am guessing they wanted to make the Pats lose focus on the game.

I'm working in my income tax. There will be NOTHING said on any TV station in the next six hours that the world hasn't heard parsed from 100 different angles and perspectives over the past week.

My gear is laid out, and the Bloody Mary mix and two bottles of Korbel are chilling in the fridge.

It's raining on this coast, so I can'tt get a five mile run in today, but I will stay away from any and all Super Bowl TV until 3:17 (Pacific Time)....the approximate kick-off time.

GO PATRIOTS!!!!!! Make us the world's happiest fans EVER.

so what do you want to hear?

I like watching film being broken down. They can show missed reads and bad techniques and such. All of the other crap reminds me of the Olympics where half the air time is devoted to learning the same things as what Oprah would try to find out and share.

You know how I'm handling this? I woke up this morning, had a nice breakfast, read a book instead of the paper. Today I'm doing some work and chores around the house. When it's time for KICKOFF, that is when I will turn on the TV. I've never felt better.

Emmit was great, which is amazing to me because he was so negative and incompetent earlier in the season. Today he was very lucid about how bad the timing of this was and how Congress doesn't belong in this. Then in another segment he talked about how the 90's Cowwboys could have used Belichick's discipline.

I think the tide is turning on all this happy hs.

I don't think the tide is turning at all. We're going to keep hearing about this, and so far the spin has been 99% anti-Pats. I expect that to continue to be the case, thankfully at the end of the day we may just have a SB championship to enjoy, which is what all the jealous haters won't have.

Well, you have both Jaws and Emmitt defending the Pats and the league, and I didn't expect to hear that today. One thing about these media freak shows is that at some point the pendulum swings back to the middle. I sense that Specter has created some sympathy towards the Pats on Spygate, because nobody trusts Congress to: a) have a clue, and b) do the right thing. Even neutral or anti-Pats fans will agree about that.

I agree with you.

You're right to a certain extent, and I think just like when the story first broke, eventually it will be just the yahoos screaming about it (if the allegations come to nothing, which I certainly hope). Sadly, the dumbest voices often come through the clearest.

As long as we win today, I really won't care. They can enjoy their little theories all they want and we'll be 19-0. It's raised the stakes even more, it will suck beyond belief to not win this year then have to listen to all the crap.
