Haven't seen one of these yet this year, but it should be good for discussion. We know who's in the draft and who isn't and we've seen some practice footage and measurements.

There would seem to be some key offseason moves that could affect this draft. I am assuming that Moss returns along with Washington, but not Stallworth. I'll assume that Samuel leaves and Gay is resigned. I think we'll bring in an inside linebacker in FA and Seau will return, while Bruschi will retire.

I'm sure my list will look completely different after the Senior Bowl and Combines but this was a fun preliminary mock! lol

I really like Monk. That would be a great pick that late. I've watched every Arkansas game that's been on TV the past few seasons. Monk was able to produce even though Arkansas has had lousy QBs. He was amazing last year-- almost 1000 yds and 11 TDs.

(1) Do you really think Talib will be available at 45? Most recent mocks have him going in the top 20.

We'll see after the combine. Cornerback is deep, and some are going to fall. Jenkins, Cason, Ikeguwona, McKelvin, Porter, Lee, Godrey, Williams, Lowery, etc. can't all be top 40 picks, so we'll see how it shakes out. I'd be happy with Ikeguwona or Lowery in that spot....or Felix Jones, whom I resisted taking there as much as I like him.

DryHeat, what a nice draft! Even your FA's look good.

Zuttah is an absolute road grader, not much else, but he can bump heads with the best of them.

And Scott is a big ILB with decent speed. If he could become a special teams demon for a few years, he could develop into something special at ILB.

I heard a lot of good things about Thomas in the week before the Shrine game.

One Question: Doesn't Shirley have some character issues?

Another reason why your trade with Chicago makes a lot of sense is that Chicago was never the same defense after the Tank Johnson issue. With Ellis and Harris on the inside, Chicago would have the quickest interior DL in football and would give opposing OL and RB players fits.

I like the picks in a vaccum but I don't think Talib nor Smith will be there when you project...I'd be happy if they were though! Reggie smith has been a little under the radar, but he is a dang solid player and very versatile.

i like all of the players in your mock but i agree that alot of them will get picked higher than you projected. The Pats will need to trade up most likely to get some of the guys in my mock too, but the great thing is that after the Combine we can all make up new mocks! lol

1. McKelvin CB Troy - Gives us a potential playmaker once he gets his hands fixed. Hes great at jumping routes, very good footwork and change of direction. Future Pro Bowler

2. Erin Henderson Maryland LB - Will be our future ILB. Hes fast, good size and he hits like a truck. Brother of E.J Henderson, a very good LB for the Vikings.

3. Tavares Gooden LB Miami- a raw LB that we will mold into a role. Hes got all the physical abilities. Hes probably one of the most athletic LBs in the draft and hes all over the place.

3. Chevis Jackson CB LSU- physical corner who might lack great speed but hes a baller and was a key part of the LSU Defense this year

4. Darius Reynaud WR WVU - Hes a fast, explosive WR from West Virginia, a running program. Hes also very strong being able to squat 695 pounds ..at 200 pounds!
