Whaddya think? Who will get waived, get traded, or retire?

I don't think the following will be around next season for whatever reason:

Richard Seymour, Donte Stallworth, Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison, Troy Brown, and other minor players.

Seymour will def be a patriot next season and i have a gut feeling they will all be back except Troy

Tom Brady. He's going to retire after this year and become a fulltime Stetson model. Bring on the cowboy hats!

Seymour and Harrison are virtual locks to be back. I think Seau has a better than 50-50 chance to return.

i would say jr seau of all the names u mentioned.

I get the feeling Seau will retire, but I agree, there's virtually no chance Seymour or Rodney aren't back. I also think there's a decent chance Stallworth sticks, after a renegotiation. Colvin is the other big name that I could see departing, given his contract status.

Would winning or losing the SB tomorrow have any impact on who returns or who doesn't?

I would add Asante Samuel and Randall Gay.

Why would Seymour not be back?

Unless in your own mind you feel that Seymour has passed his prime as a dominant Defensive lineman and should be traded,Otherwise thats nuts!

I don't think Seymour has recovered from that knee to return to the force he was prior to the injury. If that is the case, he might prove to be too large an impact on the salary cap...especially with Moss and Samuel looking for the big bucks.

honestly.... such a strange thread on the eve of the superbowl

I do think Randy Moss will be back, but if he is not back, then Stallworth stays... Also , I dont know why people think Seymoer will be done, he has 2 more yrs left on a 4 yr deal..

Why? There isn't much left to parse about tomorrow's game. Twenty four hours from right now I will be doffing the gear and putting some last minutes touches on the Bloody Mary mix.

In my opinion the first three SB victories stand on their own. This one will be the beginning of a totally new era in Patriots football...all anchored by Brady and Moss. Look for a three-pete, boys. It's all right there, and it starts tomorrow.

GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Can I be honest and say I think Jabbar Gaffney could be the next Troy Brown?

I've always contended this is Dynasty Part 2. The team had to go through the transition of changing coordinators. It is pretty amazing that most of the offense has changed except Brady, Faulk, and Light.

I just think the thread has weird timing since 29 hours from now we will be anticipating kickoff.

If we or anyone ever doubted running up the score I think we'll see it tomorrow at the expense of the Giants.

Samuel is gone - he will take a discount to rejoin Mangini and the Jets
Moss is gone - finally a winner, he goes to WR rich Detroit for his last big payday
Brady is gone - unable to climb any higher, he retires
Seymour is gone - huy has sucked since the extension, will be a Brown in 2008
Maroney is gone - the guy's a bust
Belichick is gone - Congress forces him to resign following cheating investigation

Seriously, can we just enjoy the Super Bowl

Ok...can we get back to this discussion, or is it still not the time?

I don't think they'll resign Samuel(looking for too much money) or Stallworth(he didn't have a great year and they'll need the money for Moss). I believe Bruschi and Harrison retire. The defense needs a minor overhaul.
