This is an interesting competition.

Bryant Gumbel : This guy makes more mistakes than I can count. He commonly refers to quarters as periods. The playclock as the shotclock. He calls failed third down conversions "turning it over on downs" as the team then lines up to punt. He says "it appears to be a first down" as the player is 5 yards clear of the damn marker - way to go out on a limb Bryant. "And JUST LIKE THAT!" 100 times in a game. Botches players name.

Solomon Wilcotts - Stick to the radio with Adam Schein or doing the garbage games on CBS with Ian Eagle, you suck as a television analyst, you always laugh when people talk on set or make audible reactions as if you concur in midst of them talking, probably a bad habit from radio.

Marshall Faulk : This guy is unbearable. I seriously cannot stand listening to him, he rambles on and drags things out, his insight is armchair quarterbackish at best.

Has to be Faulk. Anytime he comes on I switch the channel because I already know what he is about to say. :blahblah: :blahblah: I hate the PATS :blahblah: :blahblah:

I can't stomach Marshall Faulk at all.

On the brighter side, I really like Tyrell Davis. The man is smooth & knowledgable.

I never could stand Bryant Gumbel. He still makes me sick.

Faulk. I love Sanders-Mariucci combo....

But when Faulk join them...argh.

Faulk is the most incompetent but I voted for gumballs because he has been the most hateful over his entire career and is a racist.

is it Faulk's comments regarding the Patriots that you all despise so much?

i find his analysis quite insightful and articulate on NFL Network...

sorry... no wait... not sorry.

:D

This is one of the toughest polls I've ever voted in, they are all so deeply deserving in their own ways. It would have been even tougher had Jamie Dukes been an option.

But had to go with Faulk, he's intolerable (and not just as a Patriots hater).

Gumbal is a brodcaster, but he is bad, Faulk is just a biased prick, and Im sure he is doing a dance when he heard that news this morning..

Marshall, Marshall, Marshall. He lets personal bias get in the way of his commentating. The worse thing you can accuse a journalist of doing. It's easy to pick out the lousy commentators/writers. A little hard to find out which ones have an ax to grind with someone.

Most of the talent at NFLN to date is composed of aging egos who got hit in the head one too many times and are so wrapped up in who they once were they let it color their commentary to the point it's worthless.

Last night, after the Commissioner stunned his audience with the comments about the coach waving to the camera on one of the 6 tapes destroyed of something anyone sitting in the stadium can openly see, Ron Woodson reverted to his recently abandoned but now somehow relevant opinion that the mere $750K fine and loss of a first round pick wasn't nearly sufficient punishment for this level of transgression - a suspension and multiple picks over multiple drafts should have been levied "to teach the entire league a lesson...". This after spending the afternoon getting owned by Trent Dilfer who scoffed at all of this and told them as a backup QB it's always been part of his job to help coordinators process and integrate this information, plus a whole lot more, that every team collects in hopes of getting a competitive edge.

I'm cancelling NFLN on Monday. It's great to watch things like the Commissioner's PC live, so I can form my own judgement about what he said absent some idiots spin. But I can access that information from other outlets without subjecting myself to watching agenda driven former athletes pander to their jealous constituancies. I've also tired of Eisen's smug commentary. NFLN is morphing into ESPN - it's not football 24/7 it's E! meets football plus a lot of redundant retuns of games and NFL Films pieces that I can own on DVD if I really want to see them for less than I'm paying monthly for so called all access. They feed the beast that Goodell has been trying to tame, fauning over the ego driven players who permeate this league and eschewing it's real stars who won't play grab ass with them on team cam because they're too busy actually winning championships.

The next insightful, let alone articulate, thing Marshall utters on NFLN will be the first. He's Emmit with a permanent hair across his ass.

I like most of the guys on NFLN. Davis and Mora are top analysts in my book. I try not to judge an analyst by something they say about the Pats - I can't be unbiased. I cannot fault them for not being in love with the team I am in love with.

I like Mooch as well - though I feel he could be more technical in his analysis (maybe he can't). Love Mayock and the college guy they have too.

There was an interesting segment on NFLTA yesterday with Davis and Elway. Davis and Elway were talking about whether their 1998 team could beat the Pats. They didn't say either way, but it was interesting because Davis asked Elway if he remembered watching the NFCCG between the Falcons and the Vikings. He said that they were all cheering for the Falcons because they didn't want any part of the Vikings. Then he said the Patriots are like the Vikings, but better. For his part Elway looked reluctant to concede. I found this interesting because great quarterbacks always feel they are going to win and you could see Elway believed this. I thought it was a very good segment. (especially the video of Davis passing out at 7G in a fighter jet).

If Trent Dillfer retires, he would be a great analysist with them...

after todays "news", I think we are all gonna have our fill of Marshall Faulk pretty soon... like as in today.

MARSHALL faulk without any doubt..................
