I like to be the first to wish, good luck for Andre Tippet and hopes this makes a great Patriot Weekend, one that we as fans will never forget...

Patriot Nation is holding fingers crossed for ya #56!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We know you deserve the Hall.

The Official "Good Luck Andre Tippett" Thread

The Hall of Fame committee meets tomorrow morning, hopefully with a resolution of Andre Tippett being inducted into the Hall of Fame in July.

He had the 2nd most sacks in the 80s, behind only LT, and Tippett did this while playing on the strong side. He deserves it, and he seems to have a good chance and a number of supporters.

FYI...Borges is the New England area representative on the voting committee.

Oops...Sorry SPP. We had the same idea, which is good. Who do you have on Sunday?

Tippet was a an absolute beast. Imagine if we had him this year, in his prime? We would have been both an unstoppable force AND and immovable object (on Offense and Defense respectively)! :p

Anyway, best of luck to him. He deserved to be in the Hall the day he was eligible.

I met him a few years ago and told him how i hoped he got in. He basically gave me the old "don't even bring it, up it's a sore subject" look and said thanks.

I fealt like the guy in the Coor's Light ad that asks Mora about the playoffs. "Look, sorry i brought it up!!!"

Bump. Tippett was the 2nd best lb of the decade. Behind the greatest one whoever played. Deserves to be in hall. Lack of a championship shouldn't hold him back. He did help his team get to a a Super Bowl. If they play it over the next few days. Watch for this clip. NFL films miked him one game. He gets double teamed by a t and te. You hear this extremely loud thump thump. He stands them up. The lead blocker is a fb and he takes that block on too. Stones him and makes the tackle. It happens so fast you don't appreciate what he just did. But, they slowed it down and it was sick. That pre-season game in 89 where he got hurt along with R.Lippett and G.Veris spiraled that season down and started the beginning of the Dark Years 90-93.

Good luck Andre!

The guy was a phenomenal player and belongs in the HOF.

Mike Vrabel was wearing a throwback Tippett jersey yesterday at practice. Saw it on NFL Network. I can't find any pictures.

My fingers will be crossed. Good luck Andre!
