I'd say an incredibly wise move on your part. I wish I had. I did such a good job of avoiding the media all year long and I think the two week span just kind of killed me this time.

But finding myself in the midst of Spygate threads, ankle threads, "they practiced badly" threads, Karma is going to GET US! threads and I just wish I had stayed away.

This season is the first Superbowl season I was on this messageboard because I didn't find it until a few years ago, right after our last SB win. Before that, I think I went to the Boston Globe messageboard every once in a blue moon. And I was a much more contented person then.

Thanks guys. As always, I appreciate the kind words. (As an aside, I'll be on ESPN 890 on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Kevin Winter doing a pregame show.) Regarding the Simmons' mention, my publisher ususally gets a shout when something like that will appear, but this one came outta nowhere. A good day!
