Gotta love the in depth coverage they have in NY. No quote gets by that media. Here's a gem (guarantee?) from Reggie Torbor at the end of Serby's article today.

Torbor recalls Brady smiling in the fourth quarter last month.

"When we're raising that trophy and he's not," Torbor said, "I promise he won't be smiling."

UNBELIEVABLE!

They may just be the dumbest team in history.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!! :D :D

I just love those kind of quotes.

Tom Coughlin would hate that and it shows he has no control of his team.

Love it.

My goodness, can't they just keep their mouth shut?

I really hope for a beat down this weekend.

Ah, memo to Giants defense: Your confidence is misplaced. You were lit up like a Christmas tree by Brady & Co. for 38 points about a month ago, remember? They talk like they are getting their first crack at Brady and they have it all figured out. What, they didn't know all this stuff in week 17?

I love all this, "We have been doing it all year..." stuff about getting in the QB's face (ah, yeah, except week 17 when Brady was missing 3 starters on the o-line, counting Kyle Brady).

At this point I am sick of these dopes. Let's just play the game. I have no doubt that given the chance, Brady, Moss & Co. will kick their butts all over the desert. They deserve it. Keep talking boys. We'll see you on the field.

This has 46-3 written all over it.

Since title specifies "NY Media", let me add the heading in today's NYC Metro:

"Brady laughs at idea of Jints stopping Pats"

In addition to a misleading title, which IMO might be technically correct but makes it look as if Brady is mocking the Giants, the article conveniently omits the next line in Brady's quote that says ""I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for more points."

Word is Coughlin is stuck to the toilet ... bad case of diareahis nervosis from all the stupidity coming out of his teams pieholes.

Seriously, keep digging that grave deeper. Plaxico, Torbor, Osi, keep it coming boys, confidence is one thing, but these slaps in the face in the media, not smart. Honestly, I used to tolerate the Giants until this week, now I want them to bomb them so bad, we set records for most points scored and biggest beating.

Man, I hope so. I'm starting to worry less as we get closer to the game, but to be honest that's out of character for me and I don't necessarily like or even know how to handle that feeling.

I sincerely hope so. It would be amazing to silence the Giants so embarrassingly in front of the entire world.

That's the thing about quotes... they're so easily taken out of context. Of course, both teams will use these to give themselves an extra iota of adrenaline and when it comes down to it, the game will be decided by, in this order:

1) Coaching
2) Talent
3) Heart
4) Luck
...
198) Plaxico Burress' mouth.

The Giants, to me, don't talk any more than your average NFL team. The difference is that you NEVER hear Patriots players yapping about the outcome of the game before it happens, probably because they know BB would wait in their house at night and smother them with a gray hoodie.

The only reason you're seeing all these quotes is because the media is fishing for them. Doesn't make the Giants any more dumb than any other team, but it's not surprising to me.

I guess I got beat to it by someone who actually has intelligence on this board, but this has zero impact on the game. The pats will blow them out, no doubt, but it won't be because of this stupid bulletin board material crap myth that you all seem to believe. The better team will win, and that team is clearly the Pats.

Yeah I feel the same way and it is weird. I'm kinda worried that I am not worried. I hope it's okay, because every game this year that I have worried about the Pats have won.

Here's the quote I liked by Umenyiora :

All that has a cumulative effect on a quarterback, so I think if we hit him eight times, maybe next week we'll go for hitting him 20 times and see if that has an effect on him.

Actually, if you hit him 8 times on Sunday, you won't have to worry about hitting him 20 times next week. ;)

For those into statistics, this was mentioned on Mike and Mike this morning about game 17:

- Patriots dropped back to pass 43 times
- Giants hit him 12 times
- One of those was a sack
- On the other 11, Tom Brady went 8 out of 11 with 1 TD

In other words, the pressure he got didn't seem to have much of a negative effect.

I guess I got beat to it by someone who actually has intelligence on this board...

Don't guess, you have always been beaten irrespective of whether the guys on this board are dumb or intelligent.
:D

Giants have three sacks in the three playoff games they gave up 6.:bricks:
