Some might think I'm being pre-mature about this. Personally I think we're all incredibly late in expressing our thanks to the ENTIRE Patriots organization for an incredible storybook season.

So before the players take the field on Sunday I think we should all just take a second to consider what they've given us - and how special this season has been - and how much work EVERYONE in the organization put in to get them this far...

... and sincerely thank them all.

I think these guys truly want to win primarilly for themselves - which is why they are winners, but I think they get an extra boost of energy knowing how much they mean to everyone in this region, as well as for fans across the nation.

No matter what happens on Sunday I think its important for the organization to know that we as fans truly appreciate what a fun and entertaining season this has been.

So... thanks!

I honestly can't even believe this season was real. Any of it.

We will never see this again in any of our lives.
CHERISH what is happening, you'll be telling your grandkids about this 'for ever'

Definitely ..... a season to remember no matter how it ends. Nobody will forget where they were when the game ends Sunday. It's at that level. They provided us with a great ride.

What a ride!

And for the old time Pats fans, surpassing the '72 Dolphins makes it all the sweeter!

Thanks New England Patriots for the incredible season. This has been far above any expectations or desires. I wish you success on Sunday and have fun..:rocker:

I only have a few words to say, thanks for the memories it has been a great run SO FAR, and LET'S GO PATS!!!:rocker::rocker::rocker:

Thanks everyone, it's been a great season. It will be a good offseason thanks to the 49ers. There will be interesting developments thats for sure.

Most importantly best of luck to the pats for the sb, it's a deserved reward for the way they have handled themselves throughout this whole season and hopefully there will be some just rewards for the vets who haven't got their ring yet.

Hopefully we will see a number of the vets back for another tilt at the title next season.

Strangely enough the hardest times of my life have almost always coincided with the Patriots doing well.

The first Patriot SB came when my first marriage fell apart.

The big streak in 2003/2004 was the exact time I was going through a painful divorce that was much worse than the first.

I had a really rough time this fall because I had to end a relationship that I knew was going to hurt the girl in question and on top of that my biological father entered the picture just long enough to make me feel like crap. It's pretty personal stuff to talk about on the internet but having something mindless like the Patriots blowing out teams to focus on really helped again through one of the hardest times in my life.

So basically whenever I have girl trouble the Patriots go on a winning streak.

Hmmm....I'm dating this really great girl who is pretty and funny and much younger than me, should I just dump her before Sunday?

ok.. maybe im the only one... if we win one more game, we are the Greatest Team Ever (UNQUESTIONED!), and mercury morris can ring our doorbell, in OUR neighborhood, which only WE live in, to sell cookies, or looking for a nice 17-0 street, just a couple blocks closer to the regular SB champs 'hood, cause our hood will only have us in it... if not, it was a disappointing year... would anyone of you really agree to a superbowl loss at the beginning of the year? i know 53 people who agree with me.

fnordcircle, brother, I think it sounds like you're better off not marrying anymore.

I was going to suggest that this be stickied. But it's amazing how many of you are either too self absorbed or demanding to simply say thank you in a thank you no matter what thread for a season 31 other fan bases would already trade for in a heartbeat. BTW that doesn't make us smarter fans, just spoiled beyond reason.

i agree: thanks to all Pats in the organisation - it has been a fantastic ride and i really hope we will celebrate a success next Sunday

Go Pats !!!

...
So... thanks!

I don't think it is premature at all. I think it is the perfect time to say thank you to the organization that has provided so much joy and entertainment to us fans this season.

I'll add my thanks.

This season has had extraordinary ups and downs too but all the way through it has been an amazing pleasure to watch this team. I don't think that I've ever been so astonished at an athletic performance as I was by Randy Moss's one-hand grab over the middle against Indianapolis. Yet when I think of that game I also remember that I nearly switched off the television in disgust and swore off football, I was so outraged at the biased refereeing.

If the Patriots lose on Sunday (which I don't expect) the recriminations -- from the media, other fans, and Patriot "fans" too -- will be bitter, believe me. But I promise that they won't come from me. Win or lose, guys, I'm incredibly grateful to you all.

:rocker: The season has been unreal, that Colt loss does not even register in my mind.. Its been fantastic, and look forward the the perfect climax on Sunday..

The only thing im sad is the football season is over:(

But that does not mean we cant look forward to next yr... :rocker:

Growing up, I never thought I'd see the day where a New England football fan would be envied by the fans of other teams..

With that said, THANK YOU to the Patriots for all their hard work and dedication over the past season(s) --

ITS ABOUT TO PAY OFF, BOYS!! ONE MORE TO GO!

Heartfelt thanks to the players, the coaches, the FO and the entire Pats organization!!

I am sure we will be toasting again on Sunday after a W and pray that everything goes well and no player gets hurt.

I will never forget this season but sincerely hope we repeat it again for a few more times. ;)

And thanks to JoesixPat who created this nice thread!

Last but not the least, big thanks to Ian who maintains this site and all the mods who do a great job!
