Just a little perspective in how good we have it as Pats Fans.

Sports Radio out here in the Bay Area has been lit up with Raiders fans denouncing their team and declaring that they will not be renewing their season's tickets following Al Davis's latest episode.

In related news 49'ers owner and chief idiot Dr John York is trying to extort the city and taxpayers of San Francisco into building a new stadium or he is going to take the team 45 miles south to Santa Clara.

Also worth note, Daniel Snyder continues to wreak havoc on one of the great franchises in all of sports with his stupidity. But not to be out done by post-op Tranny Jerry Jones standing on the sideline interfering with his head coach in the final minutes of their loss to the Giants.

Thanks Mr Kraft.

I challange someone to show me a better owner in any sport.

It's amazing how quickly and how far the Raiders have fallen. A year after the Pats beat the Rams, the Raiders were in the following SB - and favored by many to win. That franchise is not going to turn around until Al Davis finds a quality person to take over the team, and steps aside and lets him run the organization. Davis' resume is one of the greatest in the history of football, very well worthy of the hall of fame; but at this point in time it is painfully obvious that it is time for him to let somebody else run the club.

Frankly, I've always thought the 49ers *should* be in Santa Clara. Having a baseball stadium in a densely packed city is reasonable with 81 home games a year. A basketball/hockey arena is even better -- compact, and can host a ton of concerts and events. But an NFL stadium is HUGE and too lightly used to support a neighborhood of restaurants, bars, etc.

Santa Clara is just one big strip mall anyway. Let 'em have the stadium.

<ducking the wrath of the KNBR faithful>

I think those two things are mutually exclusive when it comes to Davis. While he was a great owner and one of the founders of the AFL and helped make the league what it is today, he 'jumped the shark' a few years ago and stayed on after his time....Why would anyone ( other than to get the words NFL HC on their resume) take a job working for him. It's a no win situation.....

Since losing teh Super Bowl five years ago the Raiders have won a total of 19 games. The Pats are playing for their 19th win of teh season. No expansion team has a worse record in their first 5 years. if Lane Kiffin leaves the Raiders will be on their 5th head coach in 6 years.

Pathetic.

I have a love/hate relationship with KNBR. The hosts of the shows are pretty good (except for Gary Radnich who is a hack) and seemingly like the teams in the area, but the fans who call in are the most ill informed sports fans I have ever heard. It's the opposite of Boston Sports radio.
