He said that on the Jim Rome radio show just now. After 10 minutes of nonstop whining about the Bengals, Rome asked him if he was jealous of Randy Moss. He said yes, and that he and Randy were very similar. Instead of expanding on that, Rome says, yeah, but you don't have a rep for taking plays off. They went off on that. Rome is a moron and the only reason I listen to him is no EEI where I am and he does get good people on his show. Chad may be available, and for a "home town discount", but would there be room on the Patriots? Oh well, just another super bowl week interview.

Problem is CIncy and Coach Lewis have already said they wont trade him and that getting rid of one of your best players is not the way to get better

BB really likes Chad Johnson.

NO!!!!!!!

Damn you Patriots, you already have the best offense the league has ever seen. Please dont take Ocho from me.

Even though I'm here and want the Pats to win the Bengals are my team.

Don't worry. It's very unlikely that Ocho will ever wind up with the Pats.

Could you imagine Moss and Ocho, with Welker in the Slot? Who do you double team? Ahahahahahahahahahahaha. That would be frigging hilarious :rocker:

I know it wouldn't happen, though

No no no no no. Keep him away from this team. We don't even need him anyway.

I personally do not want Ocho and i do not think BB wants him either, he is more like Owens IMO then MOSS. He loves to see himself on camera and he loves his own voice way to much to suppress either trait in a T E A M atmosphere.

I will never believe he can acquire a taste for HUMBLE PIE but its the only dish BB serves.

The Bengals may have to melt and repour though. I know one thing, if one of the top players on the team I live and die with is whining like that on a nationally syndicated show, I'd rather get rid of him and start over.

First time poster, long time lurker....

Yeah, but if Moss doesn't resign with the Pats becuase someone offers him a ludicrous contract in free agency (which could happen) and Ocho Cinco wants to come here for a good discount then why not? The Pats have proven they could keep Dillon and Moss in check...

Because Moss wants to retire as a Patriot?

Little Chad is a drama queen. He's the last thing the Pats need, or want.

On Marv Lewis' team, yes he does.

BB did his homework on Randy. Randy, at least by the time Bill started considering him, represented tremendous value as a player who had internalized his disappointments to the point he was struggling to play the game he loves. Bill knew he could pull that player out of his funk. Ocho and TO don't know how to internalize their disappointments, which is why they continue to have the capacity to create sufficient distraction to tear any team apart. Neither has the ego control that would allow them to take a prove it deal, either.

TO is entering the last year of his deal in Dallas. If they struggle out of the gate in 2008, Wade will be the least of their problems. Cincy is just floundering, awash in offensive talent and devoid of leadership. Speaks volumes about Palmer too. It will be hard to repair the damage they are inflicting on each other this off season. Bengal fans are like kids whose parents really don't like each other, they'd probably be better off long term if the folks divorced.

He's on Mike Tirico now.

I'm hoping someone will ask whether he could repress his antics for a team like the Pats.

I think Moss will resign but until it happens its not a definate. It is possible that he signs somewhere else, although I don't think he will.

People said that about Moss before this year too. And about how Moss took plays off and only tries when he wants to. If CJ would be willing to fall in line then I don't see why anyone would have a problem with him coming to the Pats. I don't think he will but I don't know why people seem to have such a problem with the idea.

Moss is not going anywhere. Even if he was I would not want Stinko on this team. And I'm sure Belichick wouldn't either. There is only so far you can take your 'humble pie' 'team first' mentality before you run into players who just don't want to follow. Ocho Stinko is one of those players.

I would trade so much to have Chad Johnson here, without a doubt. His TD celebrations would really get the Gillette crowd out of their stupor.

He probably won't be coming here sadly but there's no doubt that BB loves him.

You can cure a malcontent worker. You can't cure someone whose ego is fighting with the stratosphere for dominance. Moss may have taken plays off but he was never the Show off, sideshow, drama queen Johnson is.

I can't believe how repetitive this is. The same people now who are saying they don't want Ocho sound like the same people who didn't want Moss or Dillon. Of course he won't ever come here, but to say you don't want a top five receiver in the league because he does end zone dances is ridiculous.

We can become the Ellis Island of the NFL "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. ..."

Corey, Randy, Chad...

Nah, sounds too much like the Raiders of the 70s. Corey was great, Randy is too, but unless the guy is a 10 pound diamond in the rough, go get the Wes Welkers of the world, I say.
