OK, so I guess NBA coaching IS somewhat important.

We destroyed everyone the first 32 games based purely on talent, but now have lost 5 of the last 10 games. Teams are figuring out how to play against us, and Doc is being Doc, meaning we have a coaching disadvantage/mismatch every time we play.

Can we win the championship with superior talent but an inept coach? I thought maybe so in the first half of the season, but not anymore.

what slide? losing two games in a row is hardly a slide  inept coach ? wtf are you talking about .get a clue.

We've lost 5 of the last 10, in case you weren't watching (which is obvious that you weren't). There's no question this team is stacked talent-wise, the issue is whether we have the coaching competence to make the Finals, and win it.

i watch every game and they didnt lose games because other teams figured anything out or because of coaching .they lost some games because of some injuries .rondo missed some games and so has posey .losing 5 out of ten is hardly a slide .all the celts need is a back up point gaurd .if you knew anything about coaching a basketball team you wouldnt be posting here thats for sure .it crackes me up that you think you know how to coach better than a guy who played in the nba for years lol. you sound like a typical weei caller .

You have NO idea about my NBA or Celtics knowledge.

Judging from your own posts, it sounds like you're just a bandwagon fan who hasn't been following Doc the past several years, and only just started following the C's again.

who's the one who has no clue what he's talking about? i love how you blame 5 out of 10 on missing rondo or posey for a few games, rather than on why we stumbled with our big-3 still intact, or why we didn't adjust while they were out. i can't really blame you though, you probably just started following the Celtics again, your bball IQ is still a little insane.

only a moron (such as yourself) would use the reasoning that only those who played professionaly can judge coaching.

you probably think art shell is a great nfl coach too, and that those who disagree have no idea what they're talking about.

the fact that you disagree doc is a below-average nba coach shows just how off your meds you are.

I've always been a Doc fan in the sense that I think he does a great job managing the players off the court - when this team was all youngsters, he did a good job with them, and now it's a lot of stars/vets, he seems to do adept at handling them. He's a player's coach. They can relate and they'll listen.

Sometimes, his in-game decisions can be puzzling, yes, but I've gained a lot more faith in him this year. It's easy to blame him for the players not executing, players being injured, etc. IE, it's not his fault Rondo is the only capable ball-handler on the team, that Tony Allen despite all his athletic ability can't dribble for shyt and has the basketball IQ of a pile of rocks. They need a backup PG, I didn't think they would, but they do. Even with the big 3, Rondo is sort of the glue this season, he is a main reason they have been so strong.

So in terms of this slide, I'm going to give Doc a free pass for now. There's a long ways to go, and I think they'll get back on track once the big 3 is fully healthy and they acquire a backup PG. The one area I do think Doc needs more caution is [Ray] Allen's minutes. I think too much is made of minutes, but in Ray's case, with all the injuries he's faced, he should be playing a lot less. Posey's health is obviously a factor, but if he's healthy, no reason Ray or Paul should have their minutes that high. Play Tony Allen at the 2, or bring Posey in at 3 and move Paul to 2. Or even go small with House at 2 and Posey at 3. Between House, Allen, Posey, that's enough talent to spell Allen [& Pierce] for some serious minutes.

.
the players get the credit when the team wins and its docs fault when the team loses .we get it your a genius  lmao .you should get on the phone now and call the Celtics and tell them about your great exp sitting in the stands the last ten years .I'm sure they agree that makes you qualified to be there coach lol

That loss yesterday was so frustrating, we came back a couple of times, it finally looked like we were going to win, and the dude hits a 3 with Pierce pretty much right on him, I felt so bad for the players.:bricks:

If you're as old as you claim, why do you type and write like an 8 year old every time you post?

You STILL don't get a word of what I am saying. I have a hard time believing you even follow the Celtics. The fact that you think the 'Doc isn't a good coach' argument is ludicrous, shows just how insane you are.

The one positive about Doc is that players like him and he's good in press conferences. In terms of roster subsitutions, managing minutes, 4th quarter and crunch-time coaching, in-game strategy, identifying the other team's weakness or protecting your own flaws, the guy is average to below average. Hell, Doc even admitted HIMSELF in an interview that the C's have to out-hustle the other teams, because they have a strategy-mismatch every game.

I'm not going to rehash all of the evidence to explain this. Since you claimed to have followed the C's the past several years, it should be blatantly obvious to you, that is if you're not a complete moron (like your posts and grammar suggest you to be)
