Re: More evidence Giants "just happy to be there"

Giants wore black to symbolize that this is a business trip. Nothing more, nothing less.

Since when did black "symbolize a business trip"? People wear black when they're in mourning. Good to see the Giants getting a jump on things.

Re: More evidence Giants "just happy to be there"

The new york papers mentioned the flu this morning as well. That can be debilitating for a week to ten days this year, I'm told. Hope the Patriots are taking all necessary precautions.
Gosh darn, if our boys catch it from the Giants this Sunday, the Pro Bowl will be lost.

“It was a great experience, nobody even expected us to make it this far, we have some things to work on and hopefully we’ll make it back here next year” – can anybody else already see the Giants losing speech after the game??

You guys over-think too much. This is from the NFL.com live media day blog.

Your source for real-time insider observations during every NFL.com/LIVE broadcast, plus other news from around Arizona.

Whatever works9:31 AM MT NFL.com Second-year linebacker Pierre Woods was loving his first media day, walking around with his camcorder and interviewing the media. He tried to trade his equipment for a better camera from a TV Azteca crew. Then he interviewed teammate Willie Andrews, who was taking still photos of the action.

So I guess the Pats are screwed now because they are clearly happy to be there also.

Brady was just talking about how he videotapes everything, and all the players do. I guess we're just happy to be here. What a stupid thread.

Re: More evidence Giants "just happy to be there"

Word is that Stephen King is interested in that videocam footage for his next horror flick.

I see this more of a "Blair Witch Project" inspired film...

Scene 10 - Eli's Confession

(Extreme Closeup of Eli Manning - eyes watering, nose dripping... with monologue delivered from a darkened locker room)

"I just want to apologize to Amani's mom, and Plaxico's mom, and my mom.

I am so sorry! Because it was my fault. I was the one who brought them here.

I was the one that said "we can beat the Patriots."

I was the one who said that we were not lost.

It was my fault, because I was the quarterback.

I'm so scared! We don't know what's out there.

We are going to die out there! I am so scared!"

Brady knows WHEN to whip out the camcorder. That's the essential difference. ;)

Further note in media day: The media at the Patriots portion was about twice the size of that which greeted the Giants. Interesting. But that didn't slow Strahan's mouth at all. I hope his jaw is too tired to recover by Sunday, but if not, we should shut him up good enough.

Especially if they're members of the New York Giants.

Unfortunatley the Giants haven't been to a Super Bowl in seven years. This is the first time many of them have made it. Wouldn't you be in awe of the event. None us have any idea what a great experience making it to the Super Bowl is as a player. We are fans and just along for the ride. Some players in the past have had issues during Super Bowl week. The Giants wearing black will have nothing to do with the game. They wanted to dress the same becomes it is a team unity thing. Just like Michigan did when they wore black sneakers and shaved their head, etc.

Just funnin' with you dude, we all get it. The Giants are a formidable opponent and earned their way to the big dance.

Speaking of "dance," what exactly is this Saturday night pre-game special about that Strahan appears in? What does he do in it?

Notice when Giants players came off the plane in Phoenix a bunch of them (including Strahan) had their personal videocams going. NOT ONE Patriot walked off the plane with a videocam. All business for the AFC champs! :rocker:

I'm pretty sure the Pats players are conserving their tapes and camcorder batteries for the parade on Tuesday.

Wow, I feel dirty saying that. I better take a shower. Or maybe I will just apply for a job with the Globe. They know all about Bad Karma.

Not to fear!

Peyton and LDT will be there to save the AFC!
