Crap - so we lost and aren't actually in the Super Bowl ?

good call. I hate when they make these bold predictions, and don't have to answer to them.

Tell me about it, how is it that every time one of these dipsh$@ columnists writes an article making some ridiculous predictions that obviously is not going to come true, it is all forgotten after they are wrong.. he obviously got that job through his dad. Jeremy Green is who I though he was..

Green didn't piss me off so much with the prediction as with how he behaved afterwards. He did a chat on ESPN the next day and as you would expect there was plenty of taunting. Instead of just ignoring it and talking about the game (and why he was incorrect in his pick) he got defensive and baited/taunted the Pats fans. It was about as unprofessional as he could have been for someone who's being paid to discuss football from a "scout's" perspective. Truly an immature and little man, from what I can tell.

I almost fell off my chair after the AFCCG when ESPN had Jeremy Green doing some pre-SuperBowl scouting on the Patriots......In the interest of NFL, ESPN should ban him from covering the Patriots. He is obviously a slanted columnist when it comes to the Patriots. Picking against a 16-0 team at home in the playoffs will probably be thrown at him for years.

I love this part the best "...but know this: New England won't be able to run on Jacksonville. Pittsburgh ran it 26 times for a 1.7 average Saturday night, so the Patriots will throw the ball..."

I've never really seen him bring anything to analysis of football which I couldn't have figured out for myself, often better than he.

Which makes me wonder, other than being the son of a former coach, what makes him any more qualified to do that job than I am?

Yeah, Maroney had tons of trouble running against the Jaguars.

I think I might frame this

Good article with great observations!!! (esp. the fact that the Pats play in by FAR the WEAKEST division in the NFL, which does equal 6-8 EASY games a year. My son's High School team can beat up on the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins and probably put up 38 pts a game too). I agree that the Pats have a VERY explosive offense (so did the Rams way back when) but I can also see the fact that their Defense is old, slow and overrated as well. Their offense hides alot of that, which is why nobody really talks about it (like the stats in this article finally show...) But in the playoffs you can ONLY hide your weakness but for so long...till then you get horribly EXPOSED!!! Which is what will happen. HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!

Thats my favorite reply. :)

Haha ya you gotta love those messages, where are those people know.. probably proclaiming how the giants are so much better then the pats..

And in a most astounding revelation concerning these two teams and their regular season records, the New York Football Giants (hey - everyone says it! I dunno why!) were a persuasive 3 - 1 against AFC teams, with victories (that count!!!) coming against....

Buffalo Bills!
New York Jets!!
Miami Dolphins!!!

Given the full frontal assault on the Pats for playing in what was by far the weakest division in football, I'm sure this stat means something, but exactly what - well, the talking heads won't tell us what it means, that's for sure!

I never thought I could have serious hatred for a columnist until I read that. I’d love to fire off some questions to him on the hot seat.

I only give him props for not using the word "blueprint"

You know, I haven't seen or heard a thing from Green or even any analyst mention him since the game.

No he's been forced to talk about it. He does chats every week and was bombarded with people calling him a moron the week after. He countered by saying how much he hates Patriots fans. Classy move by an ESPN writer I tell you.
