on Mike and Mike.

His reasoning was intelligent.

No stupid gut feelings.

Intelligence is not something I associate with Sean Salisbury. He probably said stuff like "it's a quarterback's league, the Pats have the better quarterback," or "the Pats have been there, done that"....SS doesn't really deal in intelligent analysis.

ok i can finally go sleep now.

talk to you guys later.

Wow....!!!

People are right!!!!

We Patriot fans are arrogant annoying douchebags!

It appears that infotainment is exactly that.

I have so far seen two, please help me if there are more, well reasoned and educated hype -free announcers/commentators.( Is that an oxymoron?)

-Salisbury
-Reiss( Globe)

Im not sure Reiss has made his pick yet, but help me out here, even if they picked against the Pats, are there any other seemingly non -biased well thought out reasoned choices?

To be fair, I actually think Salisbury is biased FOR the Pats, in so much as he reasons their value based on his opinions, which hopefully are gleaned from his professional educated eye, as a former and mediocre pro.He thinks very highly of them, but with reason.

The other commentators that I think would, when they make their choices, offera well reasoned logic for their choices would be

-Keyshawn
-Parcells ( But now he is working again so might not make a pick)
and.....

Anyone?

Certainly not Hodge, Ditka, All Ex Dolphins,Steve Young,HBO Dudes ( Excepting the Ex- Wide reciever From Minny ( Damn old age memory, name slips me at the moment)ESPN hacks,Easterbrook, etc etc ad nauseum.

I think Stinkie Schleerth IS capable of making a reasoned choice, and also the two dudes on ESPNnews, Qadri Ismail and the other dude Eric?

But why is it so few and far between?

Who if anyone does anyone here think is capable of making a choice based on reason and logic?

Salisbury, IIRC, is the only "expert" on ESPN who picked the Patriots every week this season on their picks page. Of course, most experts picked them almost every week, but Salisbury is the only one I believe who wasn't seduced by Dallas or Indy or Pitt. So give him credit for that.

Dude....whatever it's worth....I want to thank you for replying to the post as civil human being and fellow Pats fan. MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Obviously, the problem here is you posted something positive by someone the geniuses of this board have deemed inferior.

Apparently, that, in and of itself, is an insult.

Perhaps one of these arbiters of acceptable football commentators will post a list so that innocent posters of positive reporting won't get their blankin heads taken off by the Appropriately Pro-Patriot Police.

Golic picked against the Pats the most times (3) of any of the experts....

Reiss picked the Pats on the NFLN on Sunday when they landed in AZ... I think the majority of the folks on NFLN do think that Pats are going to win but you also have to realize that the media is hyping the game to make it more exciting... If everyone picked the Pats, how exciting would the game be? Who would watch?
