"Cornerback Aaron Ross caught something over the weekend and got sick on the plane, causing a one-hour delay upon departure from Newark-Liberty International Airport on Monday, until the mess was cleaned up.

On Friday, fullback Madison Hedge****, safety Michael Johnson and defensive tackle Manny Wright missed practice because of the flu and high temperatures.

"It's not a sign," defensive end Michael Strahan said, making sure Giants fans don't take Ross' sickness and others as omen.

"You know what, Green Bay, everyone got sick after that," Strahan said. "I'm still, you can tell by my voice, I'm still not right since that. The flu bug, by Sunday, if you have it, it's gone because we need you. A lot of times when you are sick you play better because you concentrate."

Hopefully our players got that kind of thing out of their system. Awful time of year apparently, everyone and their mother is getting sick!

After the temperatures those guys played in, I'm not surprised that a few of them are sick. It was bad up here, but it was downright hideous in Green Bay. No way in hell would I be out in temperatures like that.

Your right....I am suprised the whole team didn't catch something, or that Tom Coughlin's face didn't fall off after the game!!

What is this, the 1940's?

Being cold doesn't make you sick, coming in contact with viruses makes you sick.

Sorry, pet peeve.

"Wear your hat! You'll catch cold!"

Oh, what kind of fanbase would use having the flu and traveling across the country a few times in the postseason as an excuse to losing a big game. Oh wait a minute, wait I got it!!;)

Yet they were only one Reche Caldwell drop away from going to the Superbowl!

The flu?

They have plenty of time to get well and get rested.

If Peyton Manning had had a hangnail in the playoffs in 2003 or 2004 you would still be whining about it. Hell, some of you guys still haven't gotten over a regular season goal line stand in 2003 for that matter. Last I checked whether or not McGinest faked an injury your team still could have put a blocker on the man.

If the Patriots had played the Colts this year in the playoffs and won with Peyton purging in between hamming it up in the shotgun don't even try to tell me there wouldn't have been a big furor from Colts fans about what could have been. Hell, the regular season this year wasn't legitimate because Marvin was hurt, right?

Every team's fanbase kvetches after every single loss about unfair advantages and injuries and imagined ref favoritism. Face it: NFL fans are all the same type of idiot they're just wearing different jerseys.

Doesn't being that frigid for so long take a toll on your immune system, thus making you more susceptible to getting sick?

Yes it does.

The Giants having the flu will not be a factor in this Super Bowl since Bill Poulian is not in charge of the climate control in Arizona.

As long as the giants lose, I don't care what the excuse is. As long as they lose.

That's hilarious that the filter censored his name like that. :D
