My wife made the comment that Tom looks like he "plays for the cameras" on the field. We just got into a forty five minute argument about it. She of course couldn't name the specific moment where she got this idea because she knows I have every single game recorded on TIVO. She claims he "looks for the cameras" when on the sideline.

So I downloaded his interview on WEEI, and played the part where he talked about wanting to avoid the paparazzi and them being an annoyance and she rolled her eyes and called me obsessed with him. WTF? Can't someone just take offense to that kind of obviously uninformed comment about his morale? There's no way she honestly believes he plays up for the cameras, it had to have been a gesture made just to tick me off.

Whadday mean "partner"?!! I mean, what are you implying?! Is it the way I wear my hair? I can change it, you know. It's just hair. And, for the record, mock turtlenecks are timeless.

My WIFE knows I'm obsessed! But I guess if I had a partner it would be even more of an issue to be obsessed w/Tom.:bricks:

I was told I need to "get a life" so . . . I'll let you decide :)

yea, my girlfriend and past girlfriends think I have a slight problem.

The one really had it when I painted a tribute to the Patriots on my guitar hero guitar.

Don't have one so it make things easier.

Yes she thinks I'm obsessed, but my wife has been watching more of the Patriots lately. Used to be super bowls only, but this year, she watched a lot of the game against the Jints, and the AFCCG. If we live to be 150, she may even watch a boring old regular season game. When was the last one of those though?

My girlfriend understands. She has to, every time the Patriots beat the Colts, win a conference championship or wins the Super Bowl, she gets a gift. She already she got her Colt-beating gift, and I am still waiting for her to tell me what she wants for the AFC Championship. I really don't mind spending the dough. It's all worth it in the end.

So I downloaded his interview on WEEI,

That was your mistake. You cannot go to war with somebody over their perceptions without getting into a never-ending pissing contest.

Let people have their perceptions. What's it to you? If that ruins your day then, yes, you're obsessed. Go to OA and get in their 12 step program (it starts right after the SB. They decided to wait until it was over for some reason. Some said because you never try to save a drunk who's on a bender.)

Short answer: She doesn't think it; she knows it.

In SB # 3 (pats SB not III) I was in Europe and so SB started late at night. My wife had to work the next day and leave at 6 for an hour long commute. She said I would be too loud for her to sleep yelling (scores) :singing: and whining (bad calls/fumbles/ints) :bricks:

So she drove me at 11 pm to a Irish Pub and came back at 5 in the morning to pick me up when I called her that the game was over. :D

Uh.... Yeah! ;-)

Yes my girlfriend thinks i am obsessed. and you know what? SHE IS RIGHT! LETS GO PATS, LETS GO PATS..................

No kidding - there's plenty of time for life later; we're in the middle of a dynasty here :D

Why didn't I think of this? You may have just changed my life for the better.

Cerainly, my wife knows I have issues. She actually takes my little girls to Grandmas because she cannot stand it during the game. She does, however have a thing for Brady and has been making fun of Eli all week. So...that has been funny.

Look, I got a Pats tattoo, have 10 jerseys, a ton of t-shirts, and hats and a ton of toys that an adult should not have in my office...(not those type of toys!). I was watching the Pats/Carolina super bowl replay last night (around 9:00 pm on the West Coast) and she came down stairs and said verbatim, "you are a loser, you already know who won"...I told her "so what"...pretty sad...but...:rocker:

Let's see....

yes.

But that's OK, he's obsessed with Vanderbilt basketball. Just not to the same level.

My wife knows I am obsessed. She hates it, I can't watch any old games without the "you know who wins" comment. Although her it's only a game comment during the AFC Championship Game almost got her dismissed from the room.

Yes she does, because, yes, I am lol.. I had dreams about the games this postseason.. my mood is directly related to how well they played the past week.. I am actively trying to ignore the pre-SuperBowl 2 weeks of life, basically wishing them away haha, because I just want the game to come already.. but the great thing is that she is totally obsessed with the Patriots too! haha.. Yeah I think I hit the lottery with her.. she visits this site more than I do and is usually the one to inform me of Patriots related happenings (she gets home from work a couple hours before me so she gets to the info first haha). She has a corner of her bedroom shelved with multiple Pats and Tom Brady magazine covers, stories, books, newspapers, etc.. she has her own superstitions.. she understands mine.. its pretty sweet haha Being obsessed with the Pats is something to be proud of not something to hide haha... Go Pats!!!!!!!!!!

Am I obsessed, your damn right I am obsessed. Been a fan since 1985. The first picture of my new born son was with a Patriots mini-football. I constantly tell my wife that the order of most important things in my life are: 1. our kids being born 2. each Superbowl victory by the Pats and 3. our wedding day. Each are events that I cried at (heh, I emotional, what can I say) She really didn't like the wedding day comment. The final nail in the coffin for me (from my wife) was putting up the huge Patriot Fathead helmet in my shrine downstairs dedicated to the Patriots (and all things sports).
