I know it sounds rediculous but when you realise that last year with a one Caldwell catch they probably would have one last year's, and when you remember SB XL with Tom Brady flipping the ceremonial coin toss he had that look in his eyes knowing that w/out his interception against Denver that SB belong to him. He knew the Pats were better than Seattle or Pittsburgh. Like I said, underachievers! we just have settle for this perfect season capped w/ a 4th SB......could have been sixth!

The '70s Steelers lost 2 AFCCGs, the Montana 49ers lost 2 NFCCGs, the Aikman Cowboys lost 1. You can't win 'em all. $hi+ happens.

reffing played a factor... but what is done is done. we're in the first part of dynasty part 2

Yeah, and if the Tuck rule isn't called, if Vinatieri misses a field goal... etc. etc..

You can go both ways with that kind of reasoning.

which is why i said what is done is done.

Move on. You remind me of Seahawk fans. We know the refs fixed the game, but dont stoop to there level.

No call was worse then that job where they said Big Ben crossed the goal line.

But had we won the champsionship and gone on to win the Super Bowl, do you think the Pats would have been as aggressive in the off season and landed Moss, Welker, Thomas, etc?

the genius of the pats is that always look to improve. they'll do it again this offseason.

This season wouldn't be what it is without the last 2 playoff losses. Sweet and sour- without the sour, the sweet wouldn't be as sweet.

I hear ya... what can I say. I thought that was bad too. You hate for it to get dicey in the redzone with a PI call or a call like that.

19-0 is 19-0.... even if the pats won last year this year would still be special

Five Grogan to Morgan TDs and a Tony Franklin FG and Pats beat Bears.

Some of them, it wouldn't have made a difference. I'm convinced the Pats would have gone after Welker no matter what. Same with Thomas, since they needed help on D. And, well, even after the Pats signed Stallworth and Washington, they were able to get Moss for a fourth, so I see no reason they wouldn't have pursued Moss. In short--Moss, Welker, Thomas, yes. Stallworth and Washington, not so much.

BUT DUDE now, we have a chance to be part of....... EVER!

It does pain me to think that we let those frauds Smufflisberger and Manning win Super Bowls. We were so close to forever denying both of them.

The holding call was worse. That may have been the worst call EVAH.

Edit: wait. I take it back, the worst call was the personal foul on hasselbeck after he threw the INT. Wow was that a stinker.

Doesnt matter cause 19-0 trumps all things and elevates this organization beyond all others.

We wouldn't be undefeated without the pain of last year's AFC title game loss. Caldwell would still be on the team.
