I just saw a press conference with Donte Stallworth and he said that he will be the start SB QB for the Patriots.He will run an option offense just installed for this game. I guess BB has now had it with Brady faking injuries and is ready to move on.

Here's the report from Mike Reiss:

Stallworth jokes about Brady. WRs Donte' Stallworth and Wes Welker held press conferences in the media workroom. At the end of Stallworth's press conference, he was asked about Tom Brady's ankle injury. "Bill [Belichick] actually brought me into his office earlier this morning and asked me if I wanted to move to quarterback, and we're going to put in a whole new offense," Stallworth cracked. "We're going to run the option. We brought in the coach from Nebraska, Tom Osborne, I've met with him and we have the option going. Tom is going to go ahead and let me take the reins on Sunday.":eek:

That had been reported earlier today.:eek: We're screwed.:eek: :D

They were having fun with that earlier on eei. I saw the BB conference this morning and judging by the almost permanent smile on his face things must be going VERY well in game preparation. :rocker:

I think Vince should run it. I heard he played a lot of QB back in the day.

Plus he can move in the pocket thanks to the ballet training.

If so, I have some questions for Donte:

* How's the ankle?

* How's the shoulder?

* How's your body language?

* What's it like to date a super model?

* Are you as sick of Peyton's commercials as I am?

* Who's a bigger hayseed, Eli or Peyton?

Listen to the Wes Welker interview, he claims that is a total fabercation by Stalworth because BB came to him told him he (Wes) would be playing QB.

The jump he made to save the punt makes me think it should be Washington ... if he needs to dive over the line on a QB keeper he could well jump over the line without touching anyone. :rofl:

On a serious note I always used to hope Troy would get to take a few snaps ... he was our 4th qb for at least several years.:D

She-it!
Last thing this team needs is a
quarterback controversy

... just as we install a whole new option system
for the big game.

Last time we had QB controversy, we won the SB. I wonder how many picks we can get from Buffalo for Tom Brady if decide to start Wes or Donte next year at QB.

I've been coaching Option football for a while. I would say Wes is a better Option QB, because of his quickness and change of direction. I would use Dante as a pitchback...but Maroney would be pretty nice there, too.

Good, who needs Tom "made of glass" Brady in there anywhy. Dump his ass. Though personally, I'd prefer Welker in there running the option. Not like it matters, I hear the Giants have the blueprints anyway.

Turns out they got a blueprint for winning the DSRL.

Is Michael Bishop available?

Best part is the mediots aren't laughing. No laughter from the local mediots when Donte and Wes were doing their schtick and you should have seen Brian Kenny on ESPN. He was pissed. :rofl:
Hope some of the players read this site and know we fans get it and are laughing with them as they laugh at the silly mediots.
This has been a "fun" boring week before the week leading up to the SB.
All this because of a boot and Tom's NYC softshoe rountine. :D

Who do Welker and Stallworth think they're fooling? We all know that Vrabel's gonna be the starter in Phoenix. . . . :D

Seriously, though, watching those pressers, it's pretty clear that whatever is up with Brady should be a non-factor on game day. (It just looks like they're letting Brady take care of the problem out of the media's eye.)

Seriously? Damn, people, get over yourselves. It's just football.

I think the Patriots are gonna crush the Giants. They are in far too good a mood. I think the pressure of the perfect season was actually wearing on them a bit, but now they see the light at the end of the tunnel. One game, and it's all theirs.

I actually don't care if they win big or small as long as they win, but I just have a feeling that this is going to be an emphatic punctuation mark on 19-0.

Bull. If anything, we'll just start Cassel, win, then trade him to Buffalo for a first rounder this offseason. :p

I say go with Wes. He could become the next Doug Flutie. :D

I hve no problem with Stallworth coming in and running the option for the Pats. Especially after he closed out the Titans game for us with that big first down. From Mangini's brain to the Super Bowl!
