Am I the only one that feels a blowout coming?

1. The right side of the line is back. Both tight ends are back. Matt Light is on fire and played lights out on Merriman. The run blocking is the best I've seen all year. Maroney is running with confidence. Is Mankins not an absolute beast run blocker?

2. Look at the Pats offensive numbers and cross reference them against wind and cold conditions. Windy = points in the 20's. Calm = 31+ points. (the only exception: the Colts)

3. Has Tom Brady ever had two lousy back to back games? EVER? Do you think Brady (Mr. clutch) will have a lousy game in the big game? Has Brady ever thrown more than 1 interception in a playoff game that wasn't against the Chargers?

4. The Patriots defense has not allowed more than 28 points all year (do you really think the Giants will have another special teams TD?). The Patriots defense has not allowed a TD in 6 red zone trips over the past 6 quarters. If the Pats offense has an average/below average game and only scores in the 30's, do you expect the Pats defense to have their worst performance all year and allow 30+ for the first time this year?

5. The Giants are "hot" and we all know how far being "hot" can take you into the playoffs. Lets look at the hottest teams heading into the playoffs: Redskins, Jaguars, Chargers. How did being "hot" work out for the Jags and Chargers? Patriots have handled several "hot" teams all year and eaten them for breakfast. (Does 18-0 not qualify as "hot"?)

The Giants may be the worst Super Bowl team in a long time,Albeit they are hot right now and on a roll,in reality they have been average on offense and defense all year,If they continue the hot streak it will be a game but this is IMO definately a game of David vs. Goliath and Goliath dominates

I was watching a replay of the game last night and I could not believe how many things we did not exploit against the Giants. Being a mere fan watching the game on Tv I can only wonder how many Belichick sees.

The only hope the Giants have is to play their base 4-3 with single coverage and hope and pray the Patriots make mistakes. They don't rush the QB fast enough to blitz and get away with it. They are too weak in the secondary to pull the 8 players in the box routine.

Maroney only ran to the right off tackle all game ... our offense was so vanilla it was crazy. They are doomed ... i look for the Patriots to throw up 40+ points. The only reason Belichick won't go over 50 is due to his relationship with Coughlin.

I think the Giants are underrated, to be honest.

If they were in the AFC, I could understand some of the comments about them. A lot of people believed all year that the Packers and Cowboys were the best of the best in the NFC, and I really don't buy in. The Packers were the most consistent out of the three all year, but the Cowboys fizzled out late, and the Giants got hot late. The Giants showed flashes of greatness this year, mainly when Eli played well and they were able to pressure quarterbacks.

I don't think the game is going to be a cakewalk, and I don't think it'll be a 21+ margin of victory, but I think the Giants will ultimately not keep up and maybe lose by around 13 or 14.

Pats win 31-17. Cover the number. The Pats' D plays much better than in the earlier game, but the Giants' D puts up some 1st half resistance before folding in the 2nd half once the pass rushers are gassed.

I can't believe how many co-workers I have thinking it's going to be close. It's not going to be a replay of week 16 because it's a completely different scenario. Not trying to set reg season records, not worrying about keeping players healthy for the next game. They will finally have a big win (more than 3 pts like the past SBs) in the SB and the Giants will just be glad they got to play in it.

I agree. If the weather is nice and Brady is healthy enough to throw it like we know he can the Giants are going to find themselves in a very early hole. This is how BB will take them out of their running game. I think he will put the ball in Eli's hands and make him play catch up. The mistakes will follow and this will be one of those SB laughers and a 42-10 exclamation point on a historic season.

Yea, against the Jags and Chargers in bitter cold and windy conditions. The Giants are the same team we put up 35 on in week 17 in the cold. That was without Kyle Brady, 2 of our starting OL, and Watson getting back into rhythm after months on the bench. Now with everyone healthy, 2 weeks to prepare, being played in Arizona, I think it is far more than likely we score 40+ points.

Defensively, we played very vanilla on defense and didn't unleash the blitzing on Manning until the end of the game. Look for BB to try and make Eli's day a living hell by throwing the best defensive game plan of the season at him.

Remember, in week 17, it was a game where BB just wanted the Pats to go out and out-execute the Giants. We didn't even know if the Giants would play their starts, etc. This is the last game of the season. BB will not hold anything back. He'll throw everything at them.

I don't put much stock in the results of the last game. Tom Brady said, and I paraphrase, that the Pats did not come out with the intensity that the Giants did in their last meeting. He said they had to play catchup on the intensity level (and score).

This time, there will be no such issue. So one might wonder, might one, if the Pats will be the ones smacking in the chops in the first half? And we know that the Pats do play for 60 minutes, which accounts for the second half.

I think they can kill two birds with one stone if they can handle #17. Which will be a tall order to fill. They need to put a hard, active double team on or around Burress the entire game and focus on shutting down the running game like they did vs. Jacksonville and everything should be OK. Take away Burress, you take away Eli.

Offensively, I really have a feeling they'll be unstoppable. It should be fun to watch. Definitely see them scoring in the 40s. If the Giants can score in the 40s as well, then it will be a game.
