Per Mort at ESPN.

James Lofton and Denny Green are supposedly the candidates.

Al Davis has officially lost it...

What color crayon did he use, and how many times did someone have to remind him what he was writing?

I'm sure all the top coaching candidates will be beating down his door to take this job!

Al davis should be marge schotted right out of the nfl

i hate the raiders but that guy is too old and senile for that team's good

What an embarrassment to pro football. Kiffin is down in Mobile getting ready to coach kids in the Senior Bowl tomorrow and Al Davis pulls this stunt in front of all the big NFL names that are down there.

It is so disgusting. If true, the Raiders will have four head coaches in four years and six HCs since 2001.

Crazy stuff. At $2M a year, there's good reason for Kiffin to hang tight and make Crazy Al fire him.

Hasn't Kiffin only been there 1 year?

WTF is wrong with Davis?

Prediction: Jamarcus Russel = Huge Bust

reasons like this crap from Al are reasons why he will bust

As a fellow Syracuse grad, along with Al Davis(him many years before) I want to think he is a geniuos like me, but, he has lost his marbles and all sense of how to manage an organization...

I love the fact that Kiffin won't sign it. I wouldn't either, screw Al Davis.

Dennis Green - are you kidding me?? At least he is who we think he is (bad, I know....)

As an aside, I saw Al walking through the NFL Experience in N.O. back in 1997. The first comment to my buddy was how decrepit he looked. That was 11 years ago! I cannot imagine he can even prop himself up in bed now....not to mention he's clearly lost his mind.

...at least when I went to Syracuse, I knew how to spell "genius". Did you really go to SU?

Tell me this isn't just a rumour... this can't actually happen.

Can it????

Stop unloading on Al.

He's a great man.

Every Patriot fan should love him. For obvious reasons.

How can Patriot fan complain about having Al in the NFL????

Yeah, the Pats should be so lucky.

Randy Moss was beyond a steal!

Got a couple of hours?? But....anybody signing on to work for him knows the score and the fact that he could and probably will fire you on a whim....Hey at least now Lane can write HC in the NFL on his resume and after surviving in Oakland, any other job will look like paradise. I wouldn't resign either.....

Heck, yeah! "Hey, howzabout signing this paper saying you don't really want the $4 million I promised you? C'mon, be a sport!"

If Al does not want him to coach, just fire him. We know that Kiffin is not gonna quit. If Kiffin did, he won't be able to collect. What is Al going to do to make Kiffin resign? Show up at Kiffin's house naked? I mean what can Al do?

So the smart thing is just fire Kiffin.
