Certainly a nice opportunity to reward someone special
... like 3 years ago.

I'd nominate Bam ...
who won't be p/s-eligible next year.

he was injured all last year and quite a few games this year. Oh well.......

Bam would NOT be bad...Thomas also is NOT eligible next year...(and I think BOTH may make it next year)..I agree...someone from the PSqd...

It really wouldn't make sense bringing someone off the street, unless somehow Champ Bailey becomes available, so it would have to be a practice squader.

Sucks for Mel, especially after being injured all of last year, but some young player is going to get the thrill of his lifetime in the next few days.

Bam's a nice choice. After 3 years of hard work this could be the end of the line for him, but what a way to go out -- as part of a Superbowl team.

Say hello to Chad Brown.

whomever replaces mitchell on the 53 man roster most likely will not be activated for the 45 man game-day roster for the superbowl.

So? They still get a check for $40K+ for being on the 53-man roster. . . .

That look like it.
He came back twice for BB this year .It could be his reward fo
being a good sport.

It sends a message to future shadow roster players, BB rewards his slow aging LBs especially if they are completely washed up like Brown.

Not just a Superbowl team, but a member of the Superbowl 2007 - 08 New England Patriots!!!!!!!!!:rocker:  :rocker:

Bam Childress will get added; his reward for his three years of service, but next year he is gone. Though I suspect he might actually get a real chance with someone else, even if it's as a #5. Whoever it is won't be activated for the gameday roster anyhow (even if it's Chad Brown, who I'm sure is guaranteed a ring no matter what).

On the other hand, maybe adding room for an out-of-left-field signing, such as Doug Flutie, to get them a ring? ;)

I think they should ask Dan Marino so sports talk radio can stop talking about him being the greatest quarterback to never get a ring.

Think of the irony of adding the "greatest" Dolphin that didn't get a ring to the team that surpasses the Dolphin's undefeated streak.

I like this more and more every second.

Seriously it would be cool if they added an all-time Pat great like Hannah, Tippett or Morgan to get them a ring.

Belickick should leave the roster slot empty as an homage to Marquise Hill.
