I doubt they're milking it.

They're probably just giving it time to heal. They've got two weeks. And Brady is the best QB in the NFL.. you think he needs every practice to be ready for a Superbowl?

I don't think this is a huge deal but I don't think that it' a lie or that they're milking it, he just probably would benefit from therapy more than practice at this point seeing as though he is the best. But yes, of course he needs to practice. Football isn't like Basketball. You can't just be a superstar like AI and show up and just play. It's about repetition, getting new plays right and getting anyone on the same page and it's just as important for Brady to prepare that way as it is for Eli Manning. I don't think that BB, as much of a gamesman he is, would sacrifice this preparation time for some kind of prank.

And I don't see what advantage that would give them. Does anyone think that Coughlin is going to prepare his team any differently and assume Brady either isn'tgoing to play or is going to be ineffective? I don't.

True - if they have to give more of a report, I bet we see one of those "team decision" designations.

Either Brady's injury is just a tad more serious than our hopes have allowed us to believe, or BB is trying to get inside the Giants' heads, or Brady was delayed getting onto the practice field.

The problem with the "inside the heads" theory is that it would be be hard to keep it up for another ten days, so what would be the use of it?

The problem with the "delayed" theory is that I don't think BB would tolerate that, even in his frnachise QB.

That leaves us with Curtain A. The injury is a little worse than most of us think.

This isn't the Thursday before the game. It's the Thursday before the Thursday before the game. Somehow I suspect that practice this week isn't as important as the practices they'll have next week.

Tell that to Plaxico Burress.

Out of all the QBs in the NFL I think Brady could miss a practice or two out of a bye week and still show up and play pretty well.

I tend to think this week's practices will be a lot more important. They'll be hitting in one practice and simulating the game. The gameplan is installed before they leave for Sunday. After media days and walkthrough on Friday, that leaves one real practice in Arizona at best before the Super Bowl.

There is little to no injury. He has been listed as "probable-shoulder" for 5+ years now. This is BB tweaking the NY media. Brady is reported to be in Foxboro. I'm sure he's with the team.......once the media leaves after the first 10 minutes.

Brady was wearing the boot Monday morning, but was club hopping with Gisele that evening without it. If there was ANY real need to wear a boot in the first place, he would NOT have been in NYC, and he would not have been club hopping without it hours later.

I'm enjoying watching him and BB play the NY tabloids for the hyperventilating buffoons they are.

Anyone remember Rich Cimini before the first game of the season regarding BB's "phantom" comments on Kerry Rhodes?

What about the Post putting Stallworth's picture in its story about Moss' restraining order - - right next to graphics of the restraining order?

Or behind Curtain O (for Obvious), the injury is exactly what it appears to be and he is getting treatment for it. Maybe he practices today. Maybe he doesn't. I'm sure he will digest the gameplan just fine without putting undue stress on his ankle.

i'm worried when Tom doesn't practice today. If his injury is serious, i don't think that he should visit his girlfriend in the last 2 days and the fact that he visited his girlfriend in NY tells us that his injury is not serious and he needs to attend a few physical therapy sessions.
The only way we know that for sure is he will show up this Sunday to greet his fans before going to Arizona.

JC! I'd love to be able to hear the stuff that is said in the Pats locker room when it's only players and coaches. Especially with Brady and the attention he gets off the field and the razzing he must he get in the locker room from his teammates. Do you really think he was grinding and sh!t on the dance floor? And Athletes with minor injuries get therapy all the time, even ones who play in all the games but have a nagging or ongoing injury.

What about the 3 day delay for the NYC trip, if he couldn't practice today? The Patriots would NEVER allow him to go to NYC in that case - - and he wouldn't want to either. How long have you been watching this team?
