I'm speaking from a New Englander's POV, though. I know there is life outside of I-95 and Fridays are your local HS football day and Saturdays belong to college football...but Sundays esp. at 1:00 PM or 8:00 PM are horrible times for football (IMO). Monday Night Football sucks big-time because I usually can't watch all of it (since, you know, I have a job...I didn't watch the dramatic end of the Ravens game this year and went to bed thinking that the Pats lost).
But what the heck to I know. I'm just some guy posting on a Pats fansite.
I just checked with the local high school and college they don't have any football games next Saturday the slot is free.
If the SB was held at 1:00 pm on Sunday that would be fine, or 6 pm on Saturday, but 6 pm on Sunday sucks.

if the Super Bowl and probably also AFC Championship and NFC Championship would be oplayied on Saturday it would be better (imho)
so on Sunday i can recover...
I was talking more about the regular season and how 70% of all the games are on Sunday.
As for the SB I plan on burning a precious vacation day so I don't have to worry about a long game or the inevitable hangover. Saturday would be an ideal day for the SB...and most NFL games. Let the colleges have Sunday.
Yeah, lets just disregard the student-athletes who will have to travel back home Sunday night, just in time to get to class Monday morning.
Either move the SB to Saturday (I don't think too many High Schools or Colleges are playing in February) or make Monday an Official National Holiday. :woohoo:

Exactly, which is why the NFL made a deal with MAD to keep it on Sunday.
