When I first thought of this thread: I thought should I post this seemingly trivial question? Then I thought about it. This post actually came about because my Buddy has been told by his wife that he will not dominate the family room that day, because her parents and sister's family will be in town for some kind of wimpy non sports family gathering. Upon hearing this, I of course laid down some serious "Dude to Dude" smack on my boy! Are you kidding me! This is a once in a lifetime event! You dont ask, you dont wait for permission, you dont worry about how you look on SuperBowl Sunday or how and where your gameday viewing will take place! And, I am a Father and a Husband saying that with a wife who is not a football fan, but like being married so she knows not to mess with me on this. WE TRUE PATRIOT fans are passionate about our team and live it. If you are not one of the lucky and blessed to actually be at the game, then where and how you choose to watch the game says alot about your position in the PATRIOT NATION and your dedication to it. This is it guys! This is the last game of the season before the hell that is the off season begins. Make the most of it! I hope that this post will help all of us to improve our gameday, remove distractions, and insure complete enjoyment for your PATRIOTS on game day. Hey I know your probably thinking look at this dude, what a freak.................your right I am! My PATRIOTS are in the freaking SUPERBOWL, again! YEAH BABY!

As for me: I will be spending my GAMEDAY at home. My wimpy friend mentioned above who's wife is a controlling mother dog, will be there, as well as 4 of my other boys. My wife and daughter will also be in attendance. My wife will be the Food Ninja, (Great Menu, but thats for another post), My daughter will be the Drink Fetcher. This is there gift to me on gameday, but suspect that this will be the only way to have contact with me that day. They know how big this day is to me. My boys, of whom only 2 are PATS fans have been told. No GIANTS garb, signs, or stuff, no any other team garb, and absolutely no BAD MOJO on my PATS! They know I am serious and will either kick em out or drink thier beer as retaliation! I will be watching the game sitting in my Leather Recliner and looking at my 52" LCD TV with the game broadcasted in full HD GLORY only 7 Feet away. There will be also 6 other TV's with the game on, including in the Bathroom above the Toilet for those who stand when they "tinkle", and one outside on my deck for my 2 boys that smoke. My house will be flying a total of 7 Patriots Flags, My truck is already dripping with Magnets and Flags, and I and my Family Room wil be sporting Pats Gear Head to toe. TOTAL FOCUS and Cold Beer will abound. GO PATS!

You go Hammy! I will be at the game. Thinking about stopping by the Vine before I head to the stadium. GO PATS!!! Should be an awesome day for everyone!!

Thanks, right back at you! Have a blast and give those GIANTS and ear full!

Rock on Hamman! I am throwing a huge bash complete with shrimp ****tail and lots of pizza and other goodies. Beer will flow like the banks of the mighty mississippi. My wife likes the Pats and I will be watching all of this on a 50 inch HD with 7.1 surround sound in a lazy boy. life is good :rocker:

Great idea for a thread! Enjoy your day.

I have a guys ski weekend planned at Killington which will commence on Thursday night, skiing on Friday and Saturday. Will get up early on Sunday and head home, probably catch a quick nap in the afternoon, then make some munchies (wings, nachos, maybe chili) and settle in for 6:00 to watch with my 10 year old son and my wife who is not a huge football fan but has been into the playoff games. Watching on a 30" Phillips HDTV.

I've been invited to a party, but I think this one might be best enjoyed with family. I'll be pretty tense.

Enjoy everyone.

I am having my buds over. I think about 8 or 9 of them depending. No ladies in the house, ordering BBQ, pulled pork and chicken.

I'll be at a conference in NYC that week and into Saturday.

Scheduled to fly home on Sunday afternoon, arriving at 1 pm.

If there's bad weather and I get stuck, I'll croak!

I'll be nervous the whole morning making sure my flight arrives on time.

No idea, I'll have to find something to do or I'll go crazy. Thankfully I only have to wait until 3:30. I'll have some food for the game but last time against Philly I felt nauseous the whole game. Champagne is on ice. In the morning I'll probably take the kids to the park or something just to calm my nerves.

Great post, Hamtown!

I'm still up in the air. Probably either my brother's house or my house. I've got HDTV and he has yet to purchase his so that will be the determining factor. If he comes home with one larger than mine that's where we'll be. It was definitely going to be at my house since my FIL would have been more comfortable here rather than at my brother's, but my FIL and BIL are Giants fans and thought it best that they not come on up. Which was a smart move on their part. My father is heading up a big SB party down at the Club but they don't have HD (just a 46" big screen) and there will be too many Giants fans for my liking (CT is right on the Mason-Dixon line). Either way, friends and family know the situation. Every tv in the house will be tuned to the game.

Wherever we end up we'll have the tent set up with the firepit going, tv on for the pre-game, coolers, folding chairs, picnic table, etc. We'll be tailgating in the driveway before heading inside for the game. We've done it for SB's past and it's just a good time and it gives some of the people who haven't been up to a game with us a taste of what tailgating is all about. Plus the kids run around the yard and get rid of a lot of that excess energy.

Holy shnikies that's cutting it close! I'd be a nervous wreck. Best of luck to you!

I'll be in Orlando next week for the Golf Industy Show but fortunately my flight home is Saturday morning.

Good Post,
I'll be doing the usual, at home with the wife (huge pats fan) and son (sporting his Brady jersey) and a friend or two, although everyone is so superstitious none wants to deviate from their regular game day schedule, I'm making chili and wings, I'm not really much of a drinker anymore, (age related) but may make an exception here ;) I get pretty intense when watching the Pats, the dog leaves the room most of the time.
Anyway, will be watching on a 42" plasma HDTV with 5.1 surround, although I'd give up the surround sound if there wasn't a time delay for Gil and Gino.
Anyway, this is the only time I wished I lived on the west coast so we could tUne in @ 3:00pm instead of 6, but I'm ready,
GO PATS!!!!!! :singing:

Love the post Hamtown!!

I am lucky enough to attend the game ...our morning will be spent as the wife and I awake in a Hawthorne Inn in Tempe. I will fetch coffee for her - a tradition that she likes and it also pays off for me!! Our three sons are staying at a friends house and they will pick us up around 10 AM. We proceed to park in the lot marked Touchdown Club as we are going to that NFL sponsored event which is open bar & all you can eat buffet from 11:30-2:00, In the past ESPN radio has broadcast from there, this year Earth, Wind & Fire will be performing (Maybe Earthwind MOreland will be there??), In Jax Doug Flutie and his band played. Prior to entering we pass through the security perimeter in a special entrance so we get to avoid what will be three hour get in times. We will go into the game at about 2:30 and wait another 90 minutes going out of our minds awaiting the start of the game. We will plug in the little radios they furnish which feature broadcast of the game from Fox TV, Westwood One, Gil & Gino and the Giants radio broadcast, Spanish radio and who knows what else is on there.

We are so ready for this game, I just feel it, big time.

You lucky SOB!!!!! :D

Sounds like a great time, enjoy!

The driveway at my home will open at 11, I'll have the cones out and proper Patriot signage. The canopy we use for tailgating will be set-up on the deck, with the heater if necessary, the combo tv/dvd plugged in, and the propane tank for the grill full. The guys that I attend games with will basically treat the day just like if we were in P11 at Gillette. Eventually we'll head downstairs to the Manroom and while I serve as beer ***** for the game we'll watch the game on a 50" Panasonic HDTV mounted on the wall w/7.1 sound sitting on the two free sofa recliners courtesy of Jordan's Furniture and the 2007 World Champion Red Sox. The wives have offered to cook the various appetizers to have during the game as long as they can go shopping for the day.

Going to my buds house out in the woods westa Wistah. He puts it out big time every year since 96 with a bonfire, kegga Guiness, giant hunks of salmon and this year I'm bringing a ten-gallon pot of venison stew and the wife's homemade sourdough bread. It's like tailgating in Buffalo.
Goddammit! I wish it was this weekend!

GO PATS! 19-0, BABY!

Glad to hear there is life "westa Wistah"! Most Bostonians think the Massachusetts state line ends in "Wistah".

Party on!

I can't take any pre-game show, most specifically this one. I'll show up wherever I'll be to watch the game no more than 15 minutes before kickoff.

There's a college basketball game I want to see but it starts at 3:30 and it's about a 40 minute drive from where I'm probably going so that's cutting it way too tight. So that's out. Not sure how I'm going to kill the time during the day.

Great Post! Make sme wish I was there! I love venicine CHILI! GO PATS!

I'll be on here checking things out. Might be making my world famous cheesecake to bring to my buddy Billy's house. He always has a SB party, but of course it'll be extra special this year. He'll have some of the FD guys and some of the nurses from the hospital. I want to try to make a Lombardi Trophy to bring to the party.

My GF is going, and I told my mother she had to call in sick if we made it into the SB. She said she couldn't and I told her that she needs to enjoy life. She's 72 and I think Walmart can survive without her for a night. She went in the other night and told them her kids had made plans to take her out. They told her that the schedule was already made and she would have to find a replacement. The boss said she'd try to help her out. My mom told me she wasn't going in anyway. Past years I have driven home and picked her up at halftime, right about when she getrs home, and brought her to his party.

It's gonna be a great night. I just wish it would get here! :D
