Every other team's fans, once their butts are whipped, have the grace and class to leave until the next time it's their turn in the barrel.

Do Charger fans understand the game is over? That they lost? Why are they still here? To say they shouldn't have lost? The only team who can say that is possibly the Ravens, but Ravens fans understand that when the game is over, it is over. We've had a few days to laugh at LdT for pouting on the bench and refusing to be a decoy in the red zone, to admire Rivers' spunk if not his ability as a QB, and to say the Turner is no better than Schottenheimer in that neither could beat the Patriots in the playoffs. Okay, cool.

So now, the time to talk about last week's victim has passed. It's time to talk about the Giants.

Would it be possible to create a forum of "FANS OF OTHER TEAMS TO DUMB TO KNOW THEY'VE LOST" or something for the Charger folk, so we can get to the Giants talk without paging down through three pages of tears, crying and recrimination?

There is only about 10 more days of football. Let's not waste it on past history.

not a troll here, just a good football fan who can discuss the sport rationally

That is not true. The most Colt fans hung around until their season was over, and we still have a couple lurking.

Plus it is not exactly like they can move on to the next team until the schedules come out for next year.

Plus from what I can tell, Charger fans are the only other fan base with a significant number rooting for us. They hate Eli.

I don't mind it. I find some of them to be honest and decent fans (DojoChargerfan for example) so IMO they are welcome here. Khantot or whatever his name is seems to have disappeared which is good.

the God's honest truth

i hope you beat the hell out of him

We shouldn't lump all of them together. Some of them can hold an intelligent discussion, and certainly a better one than their own players' post-game thoughts. If it were the Pats that were out, I wouldn't be trolling on other fans' sites, but I can almost guarantee I'd be banned, even though I try to be very polite. It can't be easy. I am sure I'd let a well-placed zinger fly, and be homered into oblivion. Plus, the Chargers seem to have a little-brother type of love-hate feeling about us. It's sort of cute and endearing. They always jaw about something or another, but they look up to us and want to be just like us. In the distant future, if it must come to pass that this dynasty falls in say 2012, I would love to see it be the Chargers who "take our place", as if such a changing of the guard is really likely. But if they did, they'd realize how irrelevant the outside noise is -- because they, too, would become a "hated" team, classy as they believe themselves to be. It is the price of excellence.

It's actually mainly one troll out of Buffalo. We've been on it as quickly as we can with the limited tools we have, but this user is pretty persistent in creating new usernames.
