I just heard John Hannah on the radio tell the story about He and Teammate Leon Gray's Holdout in 1977.He stated that when they held out thier salaries were $38500 for Gray and $40000 for Hannah.At The pro Bowl they found out that other Pro Bowl Linemen were earning between $100000 and $120000.Howard Slusher was their agent and when they held out The media cast Hannah,Gray and Slusher as the bad guys.It;s funny when the facts are exposed,the truth seems far different.Hannah and Gray were the best at their positions.Many owe these two a HUGE apology.

Let's not bring up the Sullivan era. The Patriots had multiple Super Bowls in their sights back then, but it was not a well run organization. Give credit to Belichick and the players first, but then realize that an owner can easily mess things up. If Kraft had owned the Patriots in the 70s, we'd be talking about our possible 6th Super Bowl victory right now.

"Hog" Hannah is my favorite Pats player of all time and the man put it on the line week-in and week-out. There's a reason he's in the HoF. He, back then, was the epitome of what the Pats are today. Plain and simple.

Eason doesn't have to apologize to anyone, because until Tom Brady's heroics in 2001-2002, Tony Eason's impressive 3 game win streak in the 1986 playoffs were the best playoff performances by a Pats quarterback in the club's 40 year history from 1961-2001. He got thrown around like a rag doll in SB v. Bears, but so would have 90% of the others NFL QB's at the time.

i have to admit that i was and i am a fan of both John Hannah (Hall Of Famer) and Tony Eason (two amazing seasons, talented, and after Brady and Bledsoe the best qb we ever had; i put Grogan at 4th place)

i will not complain Eason performance on Super Bowl XX (too tough and too strong CHI)
