Interesting that if you read between the lines he seems to be admitting to the dirty play, and Vince's participation in that has been well documented and fined. i agree with wilfork's comments

i'm still baffled about hardwick saying those things because on dec 9th in tenn he was quoted by the tennessean saying "we're way dirtier than the titans"

What Wilfork speaks of is the reality of football in the trenches, have heard time and time again there is a lot of stuff that goes on in those piles that no one sees... still find it hard to believe that Seymour is painted this way, with the exception of his nudge of Rivers, who was running his mouth, saw nothing on the replay to justify the allegations.

the only thing i noticed on the replay was our punter goes up to seymour after the roughing the punter penalty and it looked like seymour kinda pushed him away, but the punter is a rival so it's not exactly evil

But is it really Hardwick's fault? He plays on a team whose "leader" wears perty earrings and reads poetry to the team. They don't play a man's game in San Diego hence the crying from Hardwick. Response from Vince was perfect!

On Hardwick: put 2 and 2 together, Sanvara. He basically says "we can be dirtier than anyone." Then he says "Hey you guys are dirtier than us."

It's not a matter of how you're "supposed" to play. It's a matter of him getting outplayed.

I can probably guess why. I happened to be very close to that play. Seymour tried to avoid it and pretty much did. The punter took a dive. There's nothing wrong with it and I would expect our punter to do the same but I suspect that Seymour pushed him away because he didn't like the call no matter what was said.

The reason he's considered dirty is cuz he'll hit as long as the whistle hasn't blown. You could be already down and tackled, and he's coming in a second later and he's not going to let up on his hit unless he hears a whistle.
Is he Dirty? I'd say he plays right at the edge of whats allowed and whats not.

Its a different sport, but he reminds me of Cam Neely. Both, at their peaks were dominant players; best at their positions; guys who could take you out of your game with one hit; could easily lose their temper during a game and be pissed at an opponent; and somehow off the field, seem like the nicest people in the world (although I'd have to give the edge to Cam in niceness cuz of his charity work)

Funny Sanvara (??? what's up with the name??) that you keep repeating and posting the Sporting News Poll concerning Rodney in other threads. Are we a troll or a Pat's fan? You also mention the irony about Wilfork responding to Hardwick but you never responded about Hardwick's earlier comments regarding Tennessee in juxtoposition to to his crying about Seymour. Pretty selective, aren't we?

Rodney wins it on rep. Not unlike those "huh?" players you see in the Pro Bowl or, to a greater extent, the MLB All Star Game. How Mr. Horse Collar in Dallas doesn't fare "better" is beyond me.

I'm sure the Pats run into this stuff all the time on the field. You just don't hear them pissing and moaning about it to the press. If the opposition wants to go dirty, they'll go dirty too. You want to leave the talk to the field and play, they'll go clean and hard fought. I love the attitude.

I once heard an interview with some lineman about this very subject.

He was asked - what was the worst thing to happen to him on the bottom of a pile-up? His answer: Had my testicles twisted.

Then he was asked - what was the worst thing he'd ever done on the bottom of a pile-up? His answer: twisted someone's testicles.
