Mind-Numbing Lack of grace

Ahhh.... and more of that 'maturity' you were talking about comes to light.

I do see a difference. I had the balls to call you out knowing that you could respond. You called out someone who's not going to be defending himself, and you called him out on something that was not even wrong of him to say. Nobody is required to bow at the altar of 19-0, just as people haven't been required to concede the 'best ever' title to the Dolphins up until now just because they went 17-0. New England is striving to become the second undefeated team in NFL history. That doesn't automatically make them the best team ever.

Your post was a silly attack without any legitimate provocation. You got called on it. That's what message boards are for. And, by the way, the last time I checked, Homer wasn't exactly a word on the 'cuss' list.

Don't bow to 19-0, but in the same breath don't disparage the accomplishment with lunatic, petty, low class remarks.

Having said that, URANUS Morris is a crackhead loser, who, out of 2 mins of sensationalistic and rating fueled attempts by ESPN, has no business talking about the Patriots since neither is he a reporter, broadcaster, analyst, writer.

Stop your holier than thou "protectionist" attitude towards a crackhead loser.

Nobody asked him to come on TV and start making an ASS out of himself. Since he has chosen to do so on his own (probably for some cash), he is completely open to the WRATH of Patriots fans across the nation for the IQ of an amoeba that he carries in the 3 lb coconut of his.

You on the other hand are a disgrace to Patriots fans......go join the lis of Borges, Felger, Callahan and other mediots on ESPN

19-0 does override 17-0.....Period. Those Nutbags in Florida can count their votes or skew them any which way, but it means nothing. The PAtriots, if they finish it off at 19-0, are THE BEST TEAM in the history of Football. The measurement of best is statistical performance, and they would've demolished the 17-0 record, which by the way they already have. I'm not even get into the comparison statistically what this team has done and the level of opponents they have beaten vs. the cream puff schedule 72 Dolphins played.

1.) This is the quote the was cited by the OP as the justification for insulting Morris:

Now he says that IF the Patriots win the Super Bowl and go undefeated, he will "welcome them to his neighborhood as the SECOND best team in NFL history."

Are you seriously trying to claim that Morris is a clod because he thinks his undefeated team was better than the current undefeated team?

2.) Actually, these players and coaches are, in fact, asked to go on television and give their opinions.

3.) Quit acting like an fool. I was one of those pounding on the "Maroney is glass" clowns, and I've repeatedly stated my opinion that Brady is the best QB ever and this team would be the greatest team ever if it wins the Super Bowl. It doesn't make someone less of a fan just because they choose to be rational. You should try it sometime.

And, by the way, the Bears and 49ers can put forth statistical arguments for claiming that their teams are the best in NFL history, too.

edit:

Some 'statistics' about that Dolphins team:

10-4
10-3
14-0
12-2
11-3
10-4

That was the Dolphins record over a 6 year period. Pretty damned impressive, actually.

That 1972 Dolphins team was #1 on offense, #1 on defense and, despite playing a complete ball control style of play, #1 in point differential. It was also second in turnover differential.

Yes he is a moron for the comments he and his 72 teamates have made so far, including the effin kicker Yepremian(sp). Rather than being gracious about it, he wants to act as if undefeated thus far means nothing.

You are selectively picking the "kinder" comments. Take the blinders off and dig into what he has been spewing, and his coach has been spewing since Spygate incident.

Here....read it for yourself.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3173309

Should we bring up how Dolphins had to pay a #1 pick to Colts after tampering to get Shula ? So Dolphins SB's should get an asterisk too for cheating. People who live in glass houses throw stones.

Many players are asked to go and give their opinions. Doesnt mean you have to go. If you do go whats the point of knocking the other teams' accomplishments down that their undefeated is not good as your '72 season. Immature, petty, classless. No if ands and buts about it. They are the most classless senile crackhead ******s around.

When you are confronted with fact, it is quit acting like a fool. LoL. Selective Amnesia now ?

Bears went 18-1
Dolphins went 17-0

Last I checked 19-0 trounces both since in the end its all about wins and losses, and SB.

Now go and stick your head back in the sand

I'm not selectively picking anything. Read the bloody post that started the thread. I gave you the precise quote the OP was calling Morris out for. And, once again for the mathematically challenged, 19-0 is NOT a better winning percentage than 17-0. If the Patriots win the Super Bowl, BOTH the Dolphins and Patriots will have won every game they played.

Quit being a knee-jerk homer and learn what the hell you're talking about before posting on it.

Sure we can compare stats from DIFFERENT ERAS. Ok Dolphins were 67-16 (80% in 83 Games). I can skew it in Pats favor too, 5 Yr period in 80 games played
2003 14-2
2004 14-2
2005 10-6
2006 12-4
2007 16-0
Patriots = 66-14 82.5% Win in 80 Games

Beats the win % of Dolphins. AND we have same # of SB in 5 yrs that it took them 6 yrs. We have 3 SB wins and 4 SB appearances, which again beats them over 6 yr period.

Pathetic ! Closet doofin lover

I've already said that I think this Patriots team will be the best ever if it wins the Super Bowl. You just don't bother to actually read the posts or think on what's posted. I have never claimed the Dolphins were better in 1972. However, it was fun watching you try to skew the data by dumping the Patriots 6th season from consideration, especially because I wasn't comparing the two streaks, but was merely showing that the Dolphins squad was a good one. Your cherry picking of the data was worthy of a true Colts fan. Well done!

Now, run along...

The funny part is that after the Super Bowl Mercury will be homeless both figuratively and literally.

Re: Mercury Morris Announces namechange

He has officially announced that if the Pats finish SB 19-0 he will change his name to URANUS Morris.

And when the 2007 Pats are living in Morris' perfect neighborhood and see him on the corner, thay can greet him with . . . "What's up, Uranus?".

Perfect, indeed!

He still insists that Miami got there first. Well, they didn't. They got there second.

He still insists on a lot of things, like making his point about the stats (the Dolphins led the league in offense, defense and STs). It's a good point, but not one worthy of making an inflamatory remark like the "second best team" thing, as if his opinion is the only one in town.

He somehow ignores the '34 Bears which I find amazing. His whole schtick is about batting 1.000, not about winning 17 or 19.

Somehow it's not surprising to see you defending Mercury Morris and acting Holier/Smarter than Thou on this thread.

Let's set your facts straight first.
According to CHFF, the Patriots are the most DOMINANT NFL team of ALL TIME with a 19.7 PPG differential.

The 72 Dolphins only made 10th place on the list with a 15.3 PPG differential.
http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles/7_641_Most_dominant_ever?_2007_Patriots.html

After you consider the Patriots record breaking offense, strength of schedule, and having the constraints of operating in a salary cap/free agent era, there's not much doubt which accomplishment was tougher, and who's the better team.
Next time please check the facts before spouting off. Thanks. :)

The 1934 Bears went 13-0 during the season, but they lost the Championship to the New York Giants:
