They talked about this over on the Planet, and here too, I think.

This video of Maroney highlights from the Chargers game shows a lot of blocking by the receivers. The most impressive one, though, takes place at the 1:00 mark, when Randy Moss and Luis Castillo recreate Vince Wilfork's unabated penalty on Chad Pennington. [Randy Moss hits Castillo with his shoulder, and Castillo goes down like a ton of bricks.]

Highlight reel worthy receiving I expected. Highlight reel-worthy blocking, not so much. :)

..and how many yards and TDs did he have last Sunday?

How many wins did his team have? One. I guess someone who's fanbase and organization are more focused on the stars than on the team as a whole would never understand that. I feel sorry for you.

Just watching those runs again... I don't know how many backs I saw run like that during the whole regular season. There is not a single other runner I would rather have.

And yea those blocks were great.

p.s. why let this loser troll another thread? let's enjoy what we got.

Thanks for pointing this out, good link.

Are you gay? Why are you on my azz all the time?

That's a good stalwart defense. I'm "on your azz" because you're coming to this board and posting idiocy. If I see a post that idiotic, be it from a Pats fan or a troll, I'm going to respond to it.

back to the subject....

GREAT BLOCK MOSS!!!!!!!

love to see that.

Maybe its because you missed the point of the thread. There is more to being a WR than yards and TD's. Blocking on running plays is one of them.

hahha Castello got MOSSSSSED!

Precisely. I think particularly given the (hollow) criticism of Moss in the past - including this season from Jaws - that he took plays off, it's nice to see how active he's been in blocking these last two games. Personally, I don't care what kind of stats Moss puts up, and I'm sure most don't, as long as he's helping this team win. Spreading the ball around is what the Pats are about, and it's what separates them from teams which focus only on stars, or "playmakers." That's a big part of the reason Brady and Manning are the best in the business, their favorite receiver is the guy who's open.

By the way, I think that Easterbrook called the Moss block a clip.

Then you admit you're gay. Congratulations!

Glad to see you've made a productive contribution with your time here, I'm sure everyone's glad to have had you.

It's not worth it to discuss all the ways in which you're a small person, so I'll just let it go.

wow....

internet muscles have been flexed! Very impressive set of posts by an obviously superior intelect. I applaud the courage, and strengh you have displayed throughout this thread. You have managed to stay within the subject of Randy Moss' blocking at the 1minute mark of an NFL.com video about Lawrence Maroney, without straying and/or namecalling. You set an example for all NYG fans, and should pat yourself on the back for representing your team in such a classy way.

Frienship!

Thanks for the support, I think we should probably let the mods handle it at this point. I'm pretty sure he's a Chargers fan, wouldn't want to group him in with Giants fans, I'm sure they wouldn't want him either.

Do you want to be banned?

If you don't, shut up.

Continue on.

Let's discuss Moss' blocking, shall we?

I saw the TMQ quote about Moss' block, which I believe he called "blatant clipping". I guess I can see where he's coming from, to be honest, but it's also somewhat of a judgment call. Either way, I like to see the hustle even when he's not getting the ball.
