I am. No idea how or where or when, but I will be there. I'm heading back to Hong Kong from Rhode Island today, but I'll be going back east soon!

Who else has plans to attend?

Can we get a sticky for people to post their plans, advice, inside info, etc.

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I am ! Get to go via my job... been to all the Pats Superbowls.

I'll probably go to that WEEI party the day before the game... don't have any other plans at this point.

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I will be there, Thanks Dad.

Can I send you my resume?

Re: Who is going to the big game???

Will be there in Arizona but don't have tickets yet.

We've got a Yahoo Group for Pats fans going to road games to share info, help fellow Pats fans out and maybe even coordinate get-togethers.

Please go to the link in my sig and join.

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I want to go. My Dad and I are looking for tickets that aren't ridiculously expensive and right now Ebay seems like the only way

i really wanna go after winning tickets last year and having to see the 2 ****tiest teams in the planet play each other.

I'll be there!:rocker:

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I know it's already late in the game, but does anyone have any hotel recommendations?

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I seemed to have lucked out (relatively speaking). About a month ago I made a deal with a patriots club ticket holder, who are guaranteed seats to the super bowl, that if the patriots make it he would sell me a ticket for $1500. I just got an email from him today that he paid the invioce and the tickets are somewhere on the lower level sideline. I so ****ing pumped!

Re: Who is going to the big game???

Are there any contests out there? Years past every company would have some kind of contest. This year I haven't seen much.

From what I hear, they are down to tent rentals!!!

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I'm thinking about renting out my house in Scottsdale for the superbowl week. I would much rather have a Pats fan staying in my house rather than some giants fan. Scottsdale is a lot nicer, cleaner and has better stuff to do than Glendale and I would even be willing to drive to and from the stadium for you. if anyone is interested PM me.

Mods if this is against Board rules, i apologies and please delete my post.

FWIW, I was just looking for a NYC vacation rental on craigslist and noticed a bunch of Glendale locals trying to rent out their homes to New Yorkers coming in for the game. Caveat emptor, but I've had good luck traveling that way.

Re: Who is going to the big game???

Hey...new here and first of all congrats on the greatness. It must be a very exciting time for you all.

I am here to offer my house for rent during the Super Bowl week. But this is not like a lot of the websites you can go to. This is a house that is about 24 hundred square feet with three bedrooms for $500 a day. The catch? I live about 50 miles from the stadium, but in a suburb of Phoenix...it is in Gilbert, Arizona.

Now let me explain a few things. For those thinking of renting a house in Glendale near the stadium. Glendale flat out sucks. Other than being close to the stadium on the day of the game this offers no real benefit and costs a lot.

The things to do are going to be in Scottsdale and my house is about 30 minutes from that area...20 minutes from Tempe. You can have free reign of the house if we can agree on some things. I am looking for $500 a night with a five night minimum. We have family in the area and no big deal. The house is two story, I have all the football channels including ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN News, ESPN Classic and the NFL Network so you can stay on top of things when there. My thing is this...the costs are crazy for some places, but who is going to be where they stay much? I figure it isn't going to be a lot.

I will take up to six people, but I only have a queen bed and a single bed. The other room is my newborn son's room. I have an air mattress that could be used if needed. Six people in this house means the cost is less than $100 per person per night. Try finding that at this point!

I will have to work out details as this is a major trust issue, but it can be done and a security deposit will be required. Once we check things before you leave you will get the deposit back. I will be more than happy to direct you to the hot spots, places to go, ideas for things to do as well. You will have a huge side by side fridge, washer and dryer, three full baths and it is in a nice neighborhood called Power Ranch. If you need it for more than five nights, let me know and we can work that out.

Shoot me a message if you have some interest as we will need to talk...I need to find out some stuff about the folks staying there...and get to the point where I believe you can be trusted in my home.

Again, Glendale is basically an old town with not much to do and a big stadium. Other than that, no advantage of staying there. The action is in Scottsdale and my house is just as close to Scottsdale as Glendale is. I know the best restaurants, sports bars, night clubs and even establishments that Pac Man Jones would approve of. I am more than happy to pass that info along to the right person.

Good luck...let me know if you are interested...and here you go for 19-0!!!

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I'm in. I bought a cheap plane ticket to Las Vegas back in November and I am meeting up with my brother and driving to his brother in laws house in Phoenix. So for $400 (flight) I have everything covered except game ticket:( This will not be a problem since I didn't win lottery for Eagles or Panthers and was sitting in lower level for both. (I won lottery for Rams and I could almost touch the roof of the Super Dome I was so high.) The unknown question is how painful it will be to my wallet:eek:

Re: Who is going to the big game???

I am going to the game and I am staying in vegas until sunday morning. I'm renting a car and driving the 3 and a half hours to the game. The hotels in vegas are just as cheap, it's much more fun, and the ride isn't that far at all. I stayed in Houston and Jacksonville the last two super bowl's and it really isn't that fun. The whole "NFL Experience" crap they have over the weekend is boring and there really isn't much to do other than go to bars and lame outdoor super bowl feasts. I'm staying in vegas baby, gambling a little, going to the strip clubs, and going to clubs that are open all night long!:D

Just did the Vegas trip over the weekend and drove back to Phoenix on Sunday....add another hour to the drive. it's gonna be a little closer to 4 1/2 hours. between the Hoover dam traffic and a lot of trucks on the single lane roads, it can get ugly at times. I'm so jealous!!

Re: Who is going to the big game???

Hi just joined the forum...I'll be heading out to Phoenix next Wed....doubt I am going to get tickets but the whole experience will be great....I actually booked my plane tix back on 11/26 so I only ended up paying about 250 roundtrip...got a friend out in Avondale (suburb slightly North of PHX) who lives about 4 exits away from the stadium....I usually go out there at least once a year in March but this yr I figured I'd take a shot w/ the Super Bowl and luckily the PATS came through for me!!!!

I really cant wait to see what its like out there for this...Ive been out there for the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe and that was INSANE w/ all the Ohio and Florida people everywhere...but this is obviously going to blow that out of the water...anyway cant wait to read more posts and here what others are doing when you go out there

if you havent been out in that area....Scottsdale is phenomonal for nightlife and the ladies:D ....oh and I hope you like Mexican food too

Stick with that 3.5 hour thing on super sunday and you'll be happy to get there in the second quarter.

That drive sucks. Been there. Done that. Not 3.5 hours.

Plus, one issue on that road and you're toast for hours. Do yourself a favor and leave early on Sunday.
