I thought I saw him on a number of players around the ball. I know I saw him with one good tackle on D..Anyone see any of his play more closely? Also, was Chad J active?

Chad "no action" Jackson was invisble as always

He was inactive, not really his fault as our WR have all stayed healthy.

The Hit Stick (Meriweather) continued to look like he'll be find yesterday although it looked like if he'd taken a better angle he could have saved us 20 yards or so on the draw to Sproles near the end of the half.

Yep, that's what I was going to post.

Not really his fault. You can't blame the guy for not doing anything when he hasn't really been given a chance. I still hold out a lot of hope (maybe a fool's hope) of him being a productive player. I think given the success this offense has had this year, you're likely to see a pretty similar one next year, and if Stallworth is gone (or, god forbid, Moss), I definitely expect CJ to play a role. I thought coming out of college that he was one of the top 2 or 3 receivers in that class, and when he slipped to us in the 2nd round, I was overjoyed. I still think he can be that player, but maybe that's just me.

As for Brandon, there were times this year when I was very impressed with his play, and again I think he's going to be a good player going forward.

I remember that play. It was a pass to V. Jackson near the middle of the field and Brandon came up and put a good lick on him. They showed a few shots of Jackson holding his arm/shoulder heading to the sidelines for a few plays.

I thought he made one of those sticks where you think the guy will fall forward for the frst and he knocked him sideways and prevented the first down. Is that the Vincent jackson play?

I like Meriweather more and more each game.

He's been hitting extremely hard for his size, showing why he won two hard hitter of the year awards at Miami. He's also been wrapping up well, and getting good leverage against the ball carrier.

I noticed a few posters talk about his missing on Turner (in other threads), and Turner gaining some extra yards because of this. I don't know if some posters are just confusing Turner for Sproles, but in any case I don't remember Meriweather missing on Turner, and giving up extra yards.

On that Sproles play Meriweather came up to make the stop, but Sproles cut to the outside just before he got there, and gained some extra yards. Meriweather turned, chased, and got in on the tackle.

So, Sproles (who has very good open field ability) made him miss, and as a rookie Brandon still has room to improve. I do like that he was able to catch back up to a very fast Sproles and get in on the tackle. Kind of goes along with my pre-draft scouting report: His game speed is better than he times.

I'll be interested to hear what he's working on this offseason, and to see how he's progressing through training camp & the preseason. If he works on a few little things this offseason (ball skills among them) he'll be all set. I'd like to see him gain about 5 pounds going into next season, too.

On sunday I knew exactly who Meriweather stopped from getting the first down (on something like 3rd and 2), where he gave up only 1 yard on the catch, and forced the ball carrier down one yard short.

I mention on Sunday (probably even yesterday) I knew who he stopped, because I can't remember who it was anymore :). Was it Sproles?

In any case that was great awareness, and tackling on his part.

I know he nailed Jackson on a reception on another play (Jackson was jacked up, and knocked backward).

i'm 90% sure that was sproles. If it wasnt sproles it was turner, cause it was definitely a running back in the flat.
