Just got back from lunch at the Cheesecake factory in Boston. Apparently Brady's parents go there after home games when they stay in Boston. My waiter told me he waited on them last night and they said Brady was dealing with a "high" fever yesterday. Obviously this isn't the most reliable information in the world, but I figured I'd post it anyway since people were wondering about it.

If you look at his face after that game he looked awful - like I was wondering if that was even him. He was ghostly white and had no energy up in his face and head. We are fortunate, indeed, that the kid crawled out of whatever death bed he had been in to play that game.

I don't think he was the only sick one. I think both teams had some sick guys.

i mentioned it during game looks like he is sick because hes not showing much emotions..he seems DOWN. usually he shows emotion..anger..gets more excited for big plays rather than just "whatever"

Here is a possibility, maybe the Chargers were good.

I heard a little bit of his interview today on Patriots Monday. He sounded fine, actually he sounded a lot more alert and awake than he usually does on Mondays.

So I don't think he was sick. Postgame he looked tired, but I can imagine 18-0and all the stress and pressure left the entire team feeling really drained.

we've versed plenty of good teams..and before Brady even threw a pick it was evident something was wrong. He was so quiet..wasnt yelling or really talking. He went to sideline and sat on bench looking down.

Definite possibility, he wasnt the usual fired up Tom Brady. Even after the TDs he didnt really run into someones arms like he usually does. On the sidelines he was always sitting down and just looked miserable.

So was Manning. That's what happenes when you're getting owned. Cromartie made some great plays. I know we're all a little disillusioned right now after his performance against the Jags but Brady looked perfectly fine to me during the trophy presentation.

He did look ok during the trophy presentation. But you can tell from the first drive, that this wasn't going to be a gimme for the Pats. Chargers D did the best they could.

are u blind? I said this was before he even threw a pick. Opening drive when he overthrew then went to sideline and just looked lethargic. Cromartie's pick was 3rd Q wasnt it?

Speak for yourself. I'm not "disillusioned" after his performance last night. It was clear there was something wrong with Brady. He's had bad games before and he never looked and acted like this. Even in those dreadful 4 INT games he's had.

Naw, i would have to disgree with you there. I also thought people on the board were trying to make excuses for Brady's somewhat poor play but it was after i saw the trophy presentation that i started to wonder myself if something might be wrong. He really seemed like he wanted to be in the locker room, where guys like Seau and maroney were totally fired up.

Also i have rarely seen Brady sitting and looking numb. He is usually talking to other players, OL guys about plays, WRs about plays and the talking with the coaches. He is going up and down the bench yelling at everybody.

Yep...he just sat there looking down and spitting. I commented to my wife that I thought he was a better spitter than Rivers.

No head-butting in the tunnel prior to the game. Just walking out slowly with a glassy stare.

No shoulder slaps or high fives on the sidelines. Just sitting, head down, looking miserable.

This isn't an excuse for the guy... Brady can have a bad game, oh, I don't know, maybe once every 365 days.

But there's no doubt that the wind (he didn't look good against the Jets at Foxboro, either) and ILLNESS had to play a part.

Against the Jets, he at least acted his usual "fired up" self. Yesterday, he did not. My guess is, he got a touch of the same bug that his line had.

But he still went 7 for 7 for 63 and a touch in the 4th quarter. So no excuses needed. But he was clearly not himself (even before the game).

Yeah definately...especially when he was sitting back there with time throwing the ball 40 feet over a wide open Randy Moss' head...or even when his completions weren't hitting guys in stride...how many bad throws did Faulk grab?...alot. He was off and he was not accurate even when he had all day.

Was Brady really have a fever?

I notice during the ceremony and the post game, Brady mentions a few times about the cold weathers. Is he sick?

It was cold yesterday, if you though the weather wasn't cold then you are sick.

Brady wasn't "owned" and he looked awful before he even threw a pass.
