It is an amazing pattern for the Pats when facing a new QB for the first time. The QB in question may play well enough to either beat the Pats the first go around or play well enough to almost beat the Pats. Come the 2nd meeting the Pats generally make the QB look like a freshman in College. Case in point: (in no specific order)
QB / 1st meeting / next meeting
Roethlisberger / Pitt win / NE win
Carr / NE (OT) win / NE win
Rivers / SD win / NE win
Palmer / NE win (close) / NE win
Hasselback / NE win (close) / next season
Warner / STL win / NE win in SB
P. Manning / NE win (lots of them) / NE wins
E. Manning / NE win (close) / SB XLII
Any others?
I know we all see the pattern continuing at the SB.
Thoughts on this.
