... maybe by anyone. A Patriots victory in the Superbowl would would cement the 2007 Patriots as the best football team of all time... an exclamatory crown to punctuate the greatest Dynasty ever. A loss would, to many people, demote them far lower than the 2001 Rams, the greatest show on turf, tarnishing the Dynasty, making it one of several, not first.

I can't express how much I want the Pats to win. Good thing I'm not Buddhist, cuz I've got a serious attachment to this game. :rocker:

dude relax, Patriots have been a dynasty for a while. And everyone already agrees that this is one of the best teams ever, while the offense IS the best ever (stats and records show). So either they win it or not they are already great. I do hope and think they win it!

As great as 19-0 would be, I would have to give the first one (Rams) as the biggest. How many point underdogs were the Pats and who really thought they would become a dynasty with that win.

Cool down buddy. One dynasty among several is pretty special ;) I've been a fan since the late 80's, I'm ecstatic with this team. But I do think what I said is both valid and true in terms of mass perception.

One more thing... First among Dynasties will be absolutely amazing if it happens. Undisputed.

I gotta agree with NEGolden here. The Pats have won Super Bowls. This means much more. This would be an accomplishment that no team has ever achieved.

It's also unlikely that any other team could potentially do anything other than match a 16-0 regular season and superbowl championship. Do you see the schedule expanding to a longer season or a 1st seed in the playoffs having win 4 games to finish the season as SB champs? Will the next 19-0 team win while setting offensive records left and right?

This team is beyond special. We're so lucky to be their supporters.
