Yeah, right!

This is the one thing the Patriots can use to fuel their "us against the world" mission they love so much! I mean who really hate the Giants? No one, that's who.

Personally, I'm in fan heaven. 95% of fans outside New England would just LOVE to see our Patriots lose. Do you know how happy that makes me? As Patriot fans, we've had to live with being hated all year long and we've stood strong with middle fingers held high.

When the dust settles and there is one man left standing, I want it to be Pat Patriots saluting the football world!:D

Now that Lord Favre gagged away that game, and the fact 2 east coast teams (NY and Boston of all) are heading to the SB, the entire nation will likely root for Pats to go 19-0

You really think that's true? It just seems like there would have to be huge shift in support for that to happen. Did we suddenly stop being the evil empire? d%#*!@t, I hope not!;)

I'm not so sure there are as many people out there who want us to lose as you might imagine.

The 18-0 streak has become a national fascination, and although many football fans to this point wanted to see us lose, I don't think that feeling prevails so much anymore. Sure there are Patriot haters out there, but being a part of history is always an attractive proposition. It becomes fun to be able to say you remember the great 19-0 season the Patriots had. An 18-1 season is a good season, but 19-0 and a Super Bowl is the ultimate most of us will probably never see duplicated in a lifetime.

GO PATRIOTS!!!! 19-0....The Posible Dream.

NY factor will be big to shift it in our favor. Had it been the Pack, 98% of the country would be against us

I don't think so. Example: You probably wouldn't expect any Chargers fans to be rooting for the Pats, however, if you look on our message board (chargers.com), we have a poll that shows more than 50% of our fans are rooting for the Pats (myself included). Some reasons:

1) We HATE Sheli Manning
2) We would like to see Seau get his ring
3) 19-0 would be history, and most TRUE football fans would like to witness it as it does not happen very often

Add to this Cowboys fans, Pack fans, etc - do the math. My guess would be more football fans are rooting for the Pats than the Giants, IMO.

Actually there’s a considerable amount of people who don’t like the Giants. Eli Manning is a generally unliked guy, mostly stemming from his whole draft fiasco. Don’t know too many people who are fond of Tom Coughlin and New Yorkers can be the most irritable fans in sports.

Regardless, everyone will still be rooting against us, but not nearly as bad as if this was Pats/Packers.

Then we’re talking about the USA vs. USSR type of situation.

Down here in New Orleans the "So happy for Manning's Boy" love-fest is about to begin ....

PatriotReign, I think you greatly underestimate just how nauseating America finds the endlessly self promoting Manning family. Along with forever shutting up the irrelevant lunatic fringe that is the '72 Dolphins America will be forever grateful to the New England Patriots when we end this Manning media madness the nation has been forced to endure lo these many months.
Goes it get any better than Peyton Manning being forced to watch in person as we enter immortality? :D
