Without being quite so negative..hehe...I would say that since he talked crap on Belichick, he has actually shown less class than the guy he accused of being classless. From his "if they aint cheatin, they aint tryin" line to giving Rivers the cold shoulder against the Titans to today...I could not be prouder of my team except for LT.

Re: Since LaDainian Ran His Mouth..

Tomlinson is a great player, a lock HOFer. He obviously has a bum knee, gave it a go and knew he couldn't help the team. I think it's juvenile that some Pat fans are kicking him when he's down. It's enough that our team won this game. We don't have to spit on the competition. SD played nobly in defeat, and the fact LDT was hurt doesn't diminish him as a player.

Thx for the kind words. I had no problem with him not playing because I actually think that Turner 100%> Lt 70-80%. Problem is he just sat their in the cold like a little girl when he should have been up supporting his team.

Tomlinson was not there today for his team mates. He sat on that bench with his shaded helmet on his head all wrapped up in a paraa. Why wasn't he in a stocking cap, leaning on crutches, shouting encouragement to his team, and helping coaches with intel and spotting.

LT may be a great running back, but I have rarely seen him provide much leadership. Today, seeing him sit on the bench in full armor was tragic and pathetic. His team needed him...if not in the game..on the sidelines letting them know he was with them not pouting about himself. Class? Right.

Bleichick would have sent him packing if he saw that.

They'll have to play the Pats 27 more times and beat them every time to win those odds.

Pony,
You are correct. However, we are diminishing him as a person. He talks a big game...loves the podium and always is good for a soundbite. In the end, this year ended the same way last year did...with slumped and said and coming up short as a player and person. The Heck with him!

I think you're a bit wrong. This is not High School. LT was up on multiple occasions also. It added drama to show him sitting down so you ASSUMED that he was sitting the whole game. How many times did it show LT sitting? twice. Plus, pros aren't forced to stand on the sidelines and cheer on their teammates like HS players are. The bench is packed full of players and coaches in an NFL game.

I'm going to give LDT the benefit of the doubt here. He's been a warrior for alot of years in the NFL, playing a full season on a torn groin. He was probably devastated he couldn't help his team on the field.

LT has never talked trash about any other team than the Patriots. It's not that he loves the mic, he hates the pats. Someone that hates them so much but can't play in the game must have been frustrated. Plus, the media has been trying to focus all year on last years situation and tried to call the Chargers hypocrites. I, for one, am glad the season is over. Not glad we lost, but happy for our team to make it so far. We were criticized so unfairly throughout the year. Your team was also criticized but you're doing something we couldn't do, go to the Superbowl, making it better for you. We had a great season considering we have a brand new coaching staff and we could build on that.

But like it or not, we will be back next year and LT is going to be the hammer for the Chargers.

no, he's a *****. it was HIS decision not to play. he wasn't cheering his teammates, what a poor teammate!

You're right Pony. LT has been great for years and has played injured. If it was up to him, he's playing. I'll admit that I was dissapointed that LT couldn't play, but I'm not willing to risk the beginning of next year and possibly his career on this game. Also, not mentioning that a healthy Turner is better than a hobbled LT. Why is no one realizing that? Turner WILL start for 20 of the 32 teams in the league.

The bench is not loaded with Ladainian Tomlinsons. I understand your defending your guy, and I can appreciate that, but from the time I watched LT sit out the pre-season, have his hissyfits on camera with Rivers, through his press interviews and his TV appearances, I have just become more and more convinced LT is about LT not the SD Chargers.

That's a personal perception, and I'm not saying it is accurate, but that's the way it appears to me.

BTW...I really think you guys have enormous amounts of talent and depth. I wish you guys the very best for the 2008 season. You have been worthy adversaries, and I have never sweated playing any team this year as much as I sweated having to play the Chargers in the AFCCG.

Re: Since LaDainian Ran His Mouth..

The "nine times out of ten" thing sounds stupid because nobody has beat the Patriots that consistently, the only team that really even comes close was the Broncos before they started to stink. Brady doesn't become the youngest QB to beat all 32 teams by losing nine times out of ten. If you're not gonna respect what the Pats have done through this decade, the least you can do is realize that it can happen to you if you don't bring your A game (or play more than two drives).

Hating somebody doesn't add up to much if you don't make it happen on the field.

thanks a lot but that doesn't fill in the hole in my heart :( lol. you guys deserved it man.

Like I said, ESPN has really set out to make the Chargers as a team look like hypocrites. LT calls out the Pats, thus ESPN has to call out the Chargers. Rivers' antics are nothing that every other QB in the league does, they just focus in on him. Why do you think that you see more of the Chargers' sideline than any other team also? It's because it's turned into a big, drama filled soap opera, or at least that's why ESPN wants you to think. Players get upset with each other, it's football. Players talk smack, it's football. It's when the camera picks it up is when they spin it to make it look horrible. LT has been in this league for many years now, have you EVER seen a season that made him look worst? nope. He's been on some HORRIBLE teams and he's never looked this bad. Funny thing is though, that he and every player on the team has done this. LT is a great teammate, no matter what the media wants to forcefeed you.

Well when your team becomes a media fixation, you know they are moving up in the food chain. Welcome to the club, it doesn't get any less annoying.

I think he was refering to the game, not the team. The Pats have changed in so many ways since last year. You guys are just so much better. This team no one can beat 2 out of 10 times and has proved it. I think that we outplayed you and beat you up last year but you guys stepped up when you needed to and beat us. We honestly were just too immature of a team last year to hang with you in such a important game, period.

yes, but when you don't win championships then it just feels worst.

Never know, maybe we'll lose the next 27 games.

A lock HOF. GTFOH No chance. a LdT was a p*ssy. I respct River for playing more then LdT for NOT playing.

So, having beaten him the previous three times (two years in a row in playoffs), I would say his next "official" statement in regards to this, will be amended and revised to "If we played them 10 times, we would beat them 7"?
