It is 6:30AM and once again I cant sleep thinking about this game.I have never had so much anticipation about a game before do you guys feel the same way? As soon as the stores open im going to get all the food and drink for the game and that menu will read like a 9 course dinner. This is it guys the day we have waited for since last year and im sure alot of you are a little nervous like me but when you think about it WE ARE IN OUR HOUSE
it will be a hostile enviorment and we have Brady who is 7-0 in home playoff games then im not so worried..Lets go get em Pats and take us to the promise land.
Im looking forward to 2 more weeks of no sleeping watching NFL network all night and ESPN in the morning then the forums all day.My wife says I need professional help,oh well on to the Superbowl.

Mine says the same thing lol, they just dont understand... Well got to load the truck and off to Gillette I go!:rocker:

6:45 AM, got maybe about 3 or 4 hours of actual sleep, so Im completely amped at this point to say the least. Coffee's on, pets fed, beer and food on hand, and set for a day of cold, hard, championship caliber football. But I cant say Im any more pumped than any of the other many games our team has reached this point because theyre all huge games. But certainly as amped as any of those others. This stuff just never gets old, and I completely relish the feeling of losing sleep because the squad is battling for a title. We wont always have it this good, so its a feeling we really should all fully appreciate. Though Im sure there are years more of this to come, so I wont even begin to think its nearing an 'end' point. But man, this kind feeling is what being a football fan in general and specifically of these New England Patriots is all about!

Im sure Im not alone in thinking that as a fairly unselfish person, I sometimes wish fans of all the other teams could share this feeling. This NFL season having wound down to 4 teams, arguably the 4 best in the league though that's always debatable. But for the dream to still be alive once again, in such an amazing and historical season, its really been a blessing for all of us. As a selfish Pats fan, of course Im glad they dont all get to. But Im truly grateful for having jumped on this bandwagon when I was about 10, living nowhere near Boston or New England, and rooting for this team simply because as a snot-nosed little kid, I thought their helmets were the coolest. Its been a blast of a football ride for many, many years ever since. Its always good to interact with all of you fellas who share this common bond. Gonna be a great day, a great game, and another big win for the world's greatest team. Enjoy!

Not sure if I am more nervous than normal but anytime we are this close to the big show my heart rate begins to pick up. Everything seems to be in favor of the Pats: better rested - they played Sunday and flew across the country, weather - we are a cold weather team and they play in the warmth, injuries -they are beat up and we are healthier than I can ever remember for a Championship game, we ahev Tom Brady. All of this said, I am still anxious and concerned. No way not to be with a one and done tournament. The Chargers are a very talented team and certainly deserves a lot of respect. Rivers has talent and some of the throws he made against the Colts were amazing (TD to Chambers) Our defense has holes and I do not doubt there will be times today that I will be screaming about our inability to get off the field on 3rd down. If we can avoid the big plays (turnovers, special teams) we shoudl be able to garner a comfortable lead and ride the game out in the
2nd half like in the Jags game.

Pats fans...prepare for glory!!!

Not nervous in the least about the Chargers. I am jacked about the game, though. Eyes opened at 6 and couldn't get back to sleep on my only day off! Have a charity event from 11 to 2 that I have to do (goddammit!). That's gonna cut into my eating and drinking time:(

The Pats are taking this game more seriously than all the other games so far, and this one has been prepped for weeks. Their two best players are on defense and they're gonna need at least three best players to beat Brady. Our defense is far better than they get credit for. Don't worry. Today's gonna be a great day!

Thanks man good stuff, and all though it sucks you have to do charity work before the game, congrats on doing it:rocker:

Just finished loading the truck, needed to pass some time before showering etc, figured I'd read the board and the newspapers.

Definately not the best night sleep i've had, man am I anxious! Just loaded up the truck and just about ready to head out, have a good day everyone and GO PATS!!!

up early....as usual....reading everything written about the Pats....
my wife has had it...."when does the football season end?"

i think the massive tailgates..... the giants game roadtrip.....the season of our dreams and therefore the only topic worth discussion

all these things have made this year particularly challenging for the Pats wives!!!

we are heading to the game at 1030 to set up the tailgate kit and get started. i sure effing hope the winds arent too much for our deep passing game. thats all i can worry about.

bless you all!!

Yes this is rarified air that we breath as sports fans. What's so amazing for us is how different this ride has been. This year we're going for history. Going for a perfect season. I think the Patriots will make it 19 - 0 and will accomplish that unbelievabe feat because they're NOT AFRAID TO GO FOR IT!! Do you guys have any idea how many teams and coaches would NOT want to be in this positon of going for a perfect record? How many would shy away because they don't want the pressure? The Colts come to mind immediately. The Patriots are different because they are not afraid to go for it. They embrace the challenge, not run from it. Same type of mentality brought us the 1st Super Bowl. That last drive - THEY WENT FOR IT AND WERE UNAFRAID. Other teams would have tried safe running plays and would have played conservatively especially with a rookie QB. Not the Patriots!
They're not afraid!! It's why their special!!

you're right it is GAME DAY

I am like off the wall already.

3:00 is too far away

I cannot wait.

Boo yah.

Bring on the Chargers.

I've got that nervous anticipation anxiety thing going on right now.

I had bottle-administration duty at 3:30am.......

Spend 3:30am-4:50am thinking about the game.

No fear. Absolutely no fear. One game at a time, with absolutely no fear! The stuff that makes champions.

Slept like 3 hours last night. Watched "3 Games to Glory" twice and "XXXVIII Superbowl Champions" DVD's. I am now doing a mad click click on the remote trying to find any blurbs or bumpers on the the Game on NFL Network & ESPN. I live in Virginia, have since I was 3. I have been a PATS fan since I was born, I know this because I was born wearing a #20 Gino Cappelletti Jersey. My whole Family just about is from Brunswick, Maine. I went to my first inside the stadium game of my life this season. My avatar and Signature are shots from that game. I have however tailgated many games. I wish I was there today. OUTLAW Barbecue Parking Lot I am sure is packed to the gills and already starting to come alive. I have plenty of Beer on Ice, wings ready to blaze off in the oven, stuffed jalapenos read to fry, and all 7 TV's tuned to CBS and ready. I have chosen the Blue Brady Jersey for today with Gray Pats Sweats, Patriots Logo Good Luck Socks that haven't been washed since game 1 of this season, Red White & Blue Nikes, the new Brady 50 TD's - Moss 23 TD Receptions - 16-0 T'Shirt, Blue Pats Slouch Cap, Patriots Pewter Logo Necklace on Leather String made from my boyhood football strings, for outside jaunts I have my BB Hoody with sleeves properly removed and Gray PATS Leather Jacket. My little girl has her Pink #54 Bruschi on and is ready to go. The wife has dawned the tight girl cut #39 Maroney Blue Jersey for the day...(NICE!). My truck is hooked up (including Brady Statue on my Dash I now have 81 total Pats Logos on the Truck), all 5 Flags are hanging off the house, and the icing on the cake are the Red & Blue Christmas Lights I hung to illuminate after we win! So, yeah I am a little amped! I know we all share the nervousness of this day. That is why we, the PATRIOT NATION are who we are. We dont just love or Pats, we LIVE OUR PATS! If your a poser or bandwagon fan we will spot you, were gald you have come to your senses but we are also clear that if we loose you will simply go with your #2 team. I hate that saying, a true fan does not have a #2 team. So come on boys, hold the line, pray for Junior, Tedy, Adalius, and Vrabel pray for them to fill the seams and stuff L.T. every time he cuts. Give Ellis and Asante the vision to close down the lanes and stand those recievers up as they come off the line. Give Rodney another couple interceptions. Give young Stephen's foot and leg the strength and accuracy to be there everytime. Most of all give thanks for all we have been blessed with during this truly blessed season. GO PATS! DEFENSE! POWER! HIT HARD! READ THE SCHEMES! Kick those BOLTS straight in the FUSE BOX! YEAH BABY!

I wish I was going to the game, but instead, I have to watch from the heart of Buffalo Bills country. I have friends and family coming over for the game. (all Pats fans) I'll have my Patriots 3x5 flag flying from my flag pole and we will be tailgating in my driveway till kickoff. So,all you fans at Gillette Stadium be LOUD and be PROUD, and lets cheer the Patriots on to victory!!!

It's my twin daughters birthday party today, they are having 18 of thier closest girl friends over starting at 1:00. I'm told I have to help, thus delaying the start of the game for me. Oh well, I can wait a few more hours I guess.

Last night was one of those times I am glad I play games, to pass the the time until I could pass out I was playing some Call of Duty 4 with a fellow Pats fan who is a member of my Call of Duty 4 clan. We spent almost half the time talking about the game then we did shooting the enemy. I have been up since 7, I stayed in bed for an extra 30 or so minutes thinking about tonight before I moved and started getting ready, as yesterday felt like the longest day ever waiting for today.
