I would agree with you. Cro has the athleticism to match up with Moss 1v1, and Moss isn't a skilled enough route-runner to abuse him short, so that's a huge advantage for us. Jammer would shut down Welker, which leaves Florence on Stallworth, which is really as good of a matchup for him as we could hope for. Stallworth just isn't better than average. Still, I doubt we will do any of this. We line our CBs up on a side and I don't think it will change. Hopefully I'm wrong so we don't let NE dictate the matchups, that will cause trouble.

If they match ANYONE, even Cromartie, "one on one vs. Moss," the Patriots will win by 30.

the way our safeties play, matching up cro one on one with moss is ALOT better than having cro dump randy to safety help

oh my god, how could charger fans think they even have a chance against the patriots! Yeah they must be clowns who know nothing about football. I think I remember this being said on the colts board last week too.

Yeah some of these Pats fans are incredible. In their minds no one should even try to compete.

No,you can't dump him (or any elite WR) toa safety. You need the CB underneath and the safety on top. A dedicated safety, that is. If the safety is playing "center field" it won't work as well.

What did you guys do agaisnt Wayne last week?

If they are advocating that locking up Corners on Moss and Welker is a sound defensive strategy, they certainly know nothing about football.
Not just your Corners, mind you. Any CB would have his hands full one one one with those two.

Also, if the Pats catch the Chargers in a tight Man scheme, the natural answer is to Screen Pass them to death. With the DB's locked up and running, there is no one to tackle Faulk or Maroney.

That is very funny.

They actually think Cromartie can shut down Moss, by himself.

Even Norv Turner is not that stupid.

They will double Moss, just like everyone else has.

They will double Moss, just like everyone else has.

If they even want a chance to win, they will. Still won't be enough. They's get killed with screen and dumps, which will be open with room to run.

Oh yeah, those defenisve backs sure know how to shut down an offense. Jeez, Indy has like what 20 yards of offense last week? Yeaaaah

Yeah, that's definately different then 90% of all fanbases on their message boards. It's just homerism and every team's fans are the same.

BTW Cromartie did play in week 2. He was playing against stallworth most of the game. And did ok job on him except for like a 30 yard PI once.

If they do lock Cromartie on Moss it's a win for us. He's their ballhawk. Which is why some of the guys on WEEI were thinking out loud that Jammer may be covering Moss with dedicated safety help. They need 2-3 turnovers to have a shot.

At the end of the day there are just too many "poisons" for them to choose from, particularly with both TE's back and Maroney hitting his stride.

They are so shook! Any you know what they should be. Randy is going to be open all day like Norv Turners zipper. GO PATS!:rocker:

Your team can try all it wants. I doubt it will help.

I still can't see the Chargers defenders successfully locking up one on one with Moss or Welker for very long unless the Chargers front seven really breakdown the pocket consistently. I just don't see it. Also, the Chargers don't have a great run defense so the Pats could use Maroney to keep the defense honest from blitzing every down.

I want them to try and play any of our WR's one on one...come on San Diego please do it.:horn:

Deion Sanders in his prime wouldn't have been able to shut down Moss one-on-one. Something tells me Cromartie isn't up to the task.

Do you understand the meaning of ONE on ONE? That means that there is NO safety help. One on One, the advantage goes to Moss. And its laughable that someone said that Randy isn't a good route runner. In fact, it shows that the person hasn't seen a damn thing of Randy Moss this year and is just going based off Randy's Raider years.

If the Chargers Blitz they have no chance on stopping our recievers. If they drop back 7-8 look for the dump passes and screens. Brady and our recievers will win this game.
