Took about 1/3 of the snaps today. He said practicing gave him confidence that he will be able to start on Sunday. Said he's listed as doubtful mainly because this is his first practice of the week.

LT said he was surprised at how good Rivers looked today. Said he asked Rivers how he feels and Rivers said he was feeling pretty good.

who cares? It doesnt matter if he does or doesnt play, the chargers ARE NOT GOING TO WIN THIS GAME!!!

Wait for it...here it comes...the avalanche of "Rivers sucks", "Pats fans pray Rivers starts over Volek"...etc etc.

who cares?

It's relevant to the game. Lots of people care. Someone would have to be pretty dense to think no one cares if the starting QB who is 27-8 as a starter plays.

I do. Why is that funny? From what I understand, Rivers has a partially torn ACL and a strained MCL. An injured Rivers on two bad knees is preferable to a healthy Volek. If Rivers was healthy, of course everyone would rather face Volek.

As it is, I think we'll see both. I think Rivers starts, but there's no way he goes the full game.

I dont care if its the pope starting for the chargers, they have NO chance.

they got beat 38-14 by the pats already, and YES it IS the same chargers team.

About 1/3 of the snaps when the starter usually takes them all. Wow. He must be feeling great. Of course, there's no contact, no sudden cuts to avoid defenders, etc. I don't like the guy but I hope he doesn't mess up his knee forever in a game he's going to lose anyway.

I do. Why is that funny?

Because of stupid people who like to insult Rivers by saying that Volek is a better QB.

I hope that you are right. Rivers has have braces on his two bum knees and will be a sitting duck for Wilfork and Harrison. Who, by the way are not above going a little low. An immobile Rivers is much more preferable than a mobile Volek. Take your trash talk somewhere else.

You got that right. First we get the Cargers to face in the AFCCG instead of the Colts, and now it looks like Phillip Leaf will be playing. Whoo Hoo!

Just why are you so upset by Pats fans wanting Rivers anyway? We're in complete agreement with you. We both want Rivers to play.

You'll understand by half-time on Sunday.

I didn't realize people cared what you think.

Like after he throws two picks?

Upset? If find it very funny and an endless source of amusement.

I don't think that people think Volek is the better QB, but he is 100 percent healthy and he's more than capable of shocking people. I don't know why it is stupid to want to face an injured Rivers, who is a better but not much better passer than Volek.

funny, I thought this was a message board and people we suppose to talk about what they think. My mistake, where am I again?

You're annoyed because people are picking the Patriots, on a Patriot message board, to win? I'm not sure what you're really doing in this thread besides trolling, to be honest.

lander, it's good that he took 30% of the snaps, but if that's all the practice time he's had all week then I don't know how much this means. I think the Chargers want to give the impression that Rivers will play, and I think he might start, but the fact that Volek has gotten the snaps in practice and Rivers is hurting makes me think that we're mostly going to see Volek.

you guys no me, you know Im a classy guy, and for these fans to come on here and troll around, that's just...I mean, yeah I get upset, and I dont know, maybe that comes from their horrible football team.

Why do I get the feeling that the Chargers are playing some mind games here? Either he's basically out of the game and this practice was just a way to throw us off, or he is not as injured as we thought and he will play the entire game.

Ah, see, you just don't get it, do you?

It isn't to insult Rivers at all. I would simply prefer Rivers to Volek because our chances of winning approach certainty with Rivers in there. We would win against either QB, but if there are a couple of fluke plays and you guys are close at the end, I want the loose cannon in there, not the stable, mature QB.

Just what is it that you don't comprehend?

Brees was better than Rivers. Fact, Jack. And so is Volek.

Rivers is a decent passer, but an average QB. I don't care about his win-loss record. Trent Dilfer "won" the SUperbowl. Your great win-loss record has to do with the team around him, not Rivers himself. If he had stayed in the game last week, we'd be preparing for the Colts right now and you would be making wacka wacka in your mom's basement.

Just like you will be this Sunday afternoon.

See you next year, chump.
