you guys got a big break
we lost our Q-BACK and star tight end.

the game still will be fun, if nothing else but to see how well the defense
does against Bradey. You guys are going to blitz all night and so are we.

our defense is in good shape so it will be fun from that angle but not a true match-up
of teams. kind of like if Brady was not playing.

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers' knee injury is apparently more serious than previously thought, and he is now listed as doubtful for Sunday's AFC Championship Game with the New England Patriots.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, sources close to the team said that Rivers has a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in addition to the previously diagnosed sprained medial collateral ligament. Despite that, Rivers did practice Friday, and will determine Sunday morning whether he is capable of playing against the undefeated Patriots.

Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is also listed as doubtful for Sunday, though he attempted to play on his dislocated big toe in last Sunday's 28-24 win over the Colts.

I thought they were 'doubtful' still... where is it confirmed that they're 'out' ?

Billy Volek is hurt? sorry to hear a pleyer got hurt, but SD's loss is our gain. Now Rivers will be sure to play. Thanks for the news.

THere is no way SD stands a chance now

I wish they were all healthy and all played, that way there would be no excuses when we win :)

This has to be the earliest I have ever seen an excuse for a team losing a football game. It's over a day and a half and they are already throwing these out there.

They're doubtful. When has a SD troll here known what he is talking about?

Spell the damn name correctly or don't type it at all. Greatest QB of all time, could at least learn how to spell his name.

As for your post, Crybaby Rivers going down was the best thing that could have happened to you guys, he's crap.

And did you really think you had a chance in the first place?

Yeah, they really helped in September.

Who cares as long as we win? Having the Lombardi cures all ails of whiners after the fact.

Anyone who would say "you only won because we didn't have Rivers or Gates" about a team that just moved it's record to 18-0 is kidding themselves. Even if those two and LT were 100% healthy, the Chargers would still be 10 point dogs. If the Pats win, there needn't be any excuse beyond "they were better."

you dudes realize this is the same bunch of people already making excuses for the last 2 losses when everybody was healthy?
look out for next year, it's time for revenge!!!!!!

Enough already. At first, you were somewhat entertaining, now your just downright pathetic. You need a new 'schtick' for your lame trolling techniques.

True enough.. I just get tired of everyones excuses. I suppose I should just ignore them all

I have never offered an excuse before or after and will not do so now. As AJ says....It is what it is and what it is is that our victory will be that much sweeter and that much harder for you to accept without excuse.

Must be hard to say that out loud with a straight face.

I'm curious what you think the line for the game should be?? Bolts favored by how much??

Yeah, we were quaking in our boots over the thought of a gimpy Rivers.
Personally, I hope Rivers plays.

Because he sucks.
